Re: 2nd Annual Joe Bonamassa Tournament of Champions

Here's my strange list, based simply on what I tend to NOT skip over the most, as of the last month or so, when it comes up on my iPod in full library random play mode (minus JB of course, who would win hands down):

Led Zeppelin
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Allman Brothers
Aerosmith
Jim Wilson
Eagles
Davy Knowles
James Taylor
Gordon Lightfoot
Rolling Stones
Pink Floyd
Heart
Bad Company
Bob Seger
Daughtry
John Denver
Vertical Horizon
Lifehouse
Ambrosia
Zac Brown Band

Re: 2nd Annual Joe Bonamassa Tournament of Champions

Similar to last year, I had a lot of fun putting my list together.  Also similar to last year...I think I ended up going with a lot of bands/artists I am listening to in regular rotation currently.  I am sure my list of 20 could change day to day.  Here is who I am going with this year.  In no particular order:

Walter Trout
Royal Southern Brotherhood
SRV
Ryan McGarvey
Bart Walker
Michael Burks
Tedeschi Trucks Band
Gary Moore
Indigenous (AKA Mato Nanji)
Robert Cray
Kenny Neal
Ronnie Baker Brooks
Coco Montoya
The Winery Dogs
King's X
Buddy Guy
Joe Louis Walker
Lurrie Bell
King King
Johnny Winter

What is the point of another LZ win?  I think previous winner(s) should be retired.

Voting is closed. And for the record, Hendrix won last year. The point is to make this like March Madness. If Duke wins, you don't make them sit out. It's all about matchups. Zeppelin's a heavy favorite, but that is no guarantee that they're going to win. Heck, SRV was the second leader in votes heading into last year's tournament, and only made it to the Elite Eight. The Stones were a Final Four group last year and they were an 8 seed. This is already shaping up to be a different bracket than last year. So sit back, relax, vote on the matchups, and see what happens.

Edit: The point of this is to determine on a year to year basis who this forum's favorite band/artist is through a fun competition. If that happens to be the same artist a couple of years in a row, so be it. But I think you'll notice that already the bracket will be very different from last year when I get done with it.
