Topic: Idea for a reality TV show starring Joe Bonamassa

Sweet Hubby and I are hooked on a Reality TV show called Chasing Classic Cars.  The star of the show is a guy called Wayne  Carini of  F40 motorsports, who brokers deals for wonderful old cars of all kinds.  He travels the country finding the cars  and then  cleans them up and sells them.  Sometimes he keeps the best ones for him self.  Sometimes they are sold for millins of dollars.     As I watched this show last night I thought what a great concept for our Joe.   He already does this.  He chases guitars all over the world while touring.  He has a network of folks telling him about guitars and gear.  Where ever he is at he hangs with the dudes that have these classic guitars.  Sometimes he just plays them, others he keeps for himself.  He has a Television connection with PBS.  Sounds like a match made in Guitar Heaven.

I can see it now,  Chasing Classic Guitars starring Guitar Geek and legend, Joe Bonamassa.  Tune in tonight and see( fill in the blank)    Greeny, The Beast, Magellan,  Rory's Strat etc.........

I will be the first in line to watch.  What do you think Joe?????????????

I vote yes for this!!  I just love seeing Joe on tv!  I get a big kick of fun just seeing commercials for him on the upcoming show....a show with him would just be over the moon!   smile

lol lol I don't like the idea at all, we are already bombarded with way too much reality TV. Where would he find the time? However, if it did ever happen I would gladly watch every episode.

I'm really in agreement with you when I am totally honest.  It's not a dumb idea, it's not a bad idea, it IS a good idea...it is just an idea I cannot force myself to rate as personally, preconceived notions notwithstanding, personally reaching an acceptable level of continuous enjoyment-like I have with his music performing.  Every gek in town he is coming to running to (which, if several) store to "hope" (I am leaving the sentence dangling on "hopes").  Of course I could be wrong, and have only unjustified fears, BUT!...I cannot escape thinking it would be at the expense of something else, either later on the stage or Joe's comfort level.  If he can stroll into any guitar shop in the world WITHOUT being recognized or have a Bonamassamania (like Beatlemania, except they at least had 3 other guys who could deflect and share the burdens and trials trying to escape that, when desired) viral outbreak, single case or epidemic breakout...well I think he would prefer that.  To an extent.  Trying to put on a (shyness-defying and coping mechanics) show at some point, sure, but, sometimes we need less theatrics and excessive attention, instead of more...everything!

Certainly no offense intended nor hope to "rain on parade" (just for kicks) attitude to Dear wvgirlinky.  Nor Patty, nor anyone, female or male.  Remember, I have preconceived notions. yikes Many don't.  That's cool with me! smile I'd have to (gladly big_smile) make a road trip to wvgirlinky's hometown vicinity shop and carry her on my shoulders so she could get a good view, and hear good, over the top of the throng and goings on inside with Joe and whom/what ever! wink She'd be on camera cool and I would just be (un-scene) insurance of that~! lol

"Guitar pickers" would RUIN guitar collecting as we know it. I do not what that to go mainstream no matter how much I would enjoy watching a program on it.
