No worries, Rob! I didn't know Erin Hamlin from Hamlet, but, I find it interesting that, even though I do not watch Olympics anymore because, well, that's another story...I digress. AS I was saying, even though I don't watch television much at all, let alone Olympics coverage on tv, I found it quite interesting that somehow I just happened to be on tv flipping to something else but stopped for a minute, and, lo and behold, there was Erin Hamlin making her medalist run with the announcer flipping his wig with excitement. Pretty Winter Olympics cool stuff! And yes, a swell of New York pride came upon me.......once again...
Most DEFinitely as my Cazenovia buddy (=o|-[ ) sez, most DEFinitely no worries regarding geography and "positive inspiration." Central and Northern New York is positively inspiring always, some for flying the coop for Florida for the winter, others know it is a great, great place to work and play all year long...as long as you have work and are able to find money and time to spend with or without friends to play along!
I know you have cabin fever...

Nothing against Erin but if she passes gas it's front page news in the Observer Dispatch he he. I just have a lot of respect for Joe and his journey to where he is today. His life story is inspirational. Accomplishing what he has in the music business today and doing it "outside the box" is remarkable. If you're familiar with this area than you know we need all the positive inspiration that we can get.
Thanks:)
Rocket wrote:Rob, I know all about upstate, including central New York and northern New York, being born and raised there. It seems like a mismatch of some sort to me. It's only my opinion. I would think there is a time and place for recognition of Erin separate. She's done something impressive. Joe is impressive too, but unless they both are already acquainted (doubtful), she can play guitar (doubtful), or you know something I don't (always a possibility without stretching one's imagination), I'd say there's a better chance of this never occurring, at least at Joe's performance.
I am scheduled to also be at Syracuse, and my opinion is based on an opposing desire. No harm in disagreeing. Not sure if Gary was as puzzled as me or puzzled AT me...
By the way, anything north of Utica on Route 12 to me is "The North Country," an yes I know where Remsen is. Maybe she is more suited to an appearance at Boonville's Woodsmen's Filed Days? She can show up anywhere I am any day, including Syracuse's Joe Bonamassa's Guitar Olympiad this spring.
