So does this lead to Joe's band getting to be on Conan? He usually has some really great musical guests.  Tedeschi Trucks has been on numerous times and now RCFP...Joe needs some cable TV air time.

Congrats to RCFP.  Great groovin performance ... even if they had to, as Billy Joel sings in The Entertainer ... "cut it down to 3:05."

I don't want get this "Off Topic" ... so maybe think of my post as an extension ... a comparison of another musical guest appearing last night on another late night show.

After Conan ... I flipped over to Letterman.  I didn't know it was a repeat (at the time) ... and caught his musical guest for the evening.

I'm not one to pass judgment on musical talent or tastes (at least not out loud. Heck anyone who plays is living the dream, so who am I to judge?) ... but for me , it was no comparison "last night".... as to who came "to play", vs who just "plays".    I will say ... it did make for "great tv, or "water-cooler tv."  Hope you have 5 mins to spare for the link.  You can jump in at 1:15 if you like ... but stay till the end.

Reminds me of another quote ... from "A Bronx Tale": The saddest thing in life is wasted talent.  (Kinda has a double meaning here.)
