Topic: Anyone watching the Olympics hear Joe playing?

I've seen a few posts on Facebook that one of the women US Figure Skaters had something from the Vienna Opera House playing for her routine? Anyone happen to catch it, no one posted the athlete's name, just people commenting they heard it? Would love to see it, if anyone runs across a video of it cool

My wife and I watched a bit of the skating last night.
No Joe, but the one US skater we saw skated to Pink Floyd.

I caught the Pink Floyd routine as well, Shine On You Crazy Diamond.  If there was a performance with Joe, I am sad that I missed it!

I haven't been watching so much yet.  Would love to hear if someone knows about the Joe piece!

I guess that's a popular song for an Olympic performance.

i saw your post Lizzee and got excited so I watched the reruns of the replay to see. I was nodding off and on and at one point i woke up and thought i was hearing Joe, hey i think its Dust Bowl for a half a minute, but it was Shine On You Crazy Diamond as Bill mentioned.
I had been wondering if there might be a Joe song in Sochi. so i am still wondering about what you saw. can you elaborate? I tried to find additional footage online thinking maybe it was something not aired here but i didn't get too far with that.

(Bill, I didn't get past the ad on your above link, is there a Joe connection there?)

Jane, I had found a past post by you indicating a past Olympic performance to the same Pink Floyd song. It was the last summer Olympics and was a gymnastics floor routine, but now I can't find it. Somehow when I copied the forum link and messed it up...linking to another window I had open at the time.

ah ok. and now that you mention it, the whole SOYCD thing did seem familiar....
i found the thread https://forum.jbonamassa.com/viewtopic.php?id=22123
now i am thinking maybe it was same folks on fb that thought it was Joe?

Thanks!

Anybody's guess what was heard?  A new format on Facebook in the newsfeed it picks up a person's name and adds a link above the post telling how many recent posts there are with that name and/or keyword. I had clicked the link that had recent post with Joe's name. One person had posted she was watching a girl skating to Joe Bonamassa song. I didn't think much about until I went a bit further down and someone else posted they were watching a girl from US skating to a Joe Bonamassa song from Vienna Opera House. I should of commented and ask but didn't want to freak them out since I have no idea who they were! The recent posts are usually between 900-1100. PAnd from all over the world so I did consider they were perhaps watching in a different time/zone/country on a different network.

I think it's a cool new feature on FB, music is definitely an international language in Joe's world as you scroll through a lot of the posts are fans sharing videos and several languages would love to understand what they're saying in their posts. Cool to click on a vid that's been shared to see it's one of your Bonabuds videos begging shared.
