Topic: Red Rocks this year
In Joe's interview for Los Angeles Magazine, he said he was booked for Red Rocks this year. Does anybody know the date? Can't seem to find it. I'd love to see him at Red Rocks....

Should be announced soon!
Bill
IIRC, Red Rocks is only open from ~June through Sept., so that brackets it some.

Good find Lee. Labor day eve. Never been to Red Rocks before.
Already committed for this via cashing in a premium package with m and g. See you there! Now I can make plane and hotel reservations.
Rick
Wonder when they will go on sale officially? Looks like there are nine left on the PBS station.
Anyone happen to know the seating capacity of RR?
edit - Sorry, never mind, just found it. 9,450. How terrific for Joe if we could sell this out!
Just talked with a woman at the Colorado PBS station. Interesting they don't offer any M&G packages with this show. She said it is difficult to do M&G at Red Rocks because there is no real place to meet. Wonder if that means there truly won't be any or just none through PBS. Not that I need one, just curious.

Ron, if you mean the tickets offered through PBS, it looks like they have them now through the link I posted above, but just a handful left.

Yes, we're definitely hoping to be there!

As Lee says they still have 7 sets available. She had no idea where the seats would be. They get a block of tickets that are supposed to be the best seats in that particular price range. She wished they knew because then they would have something more definite to tell people. She also did not know when they would officially go on sale to the public. I think we'll wait for the fan presale through Joe's newsletter. At least then you know exactly what you are getting. Very curious what else will be happening this Fall. BonaVegas perhaps ?

Uh oh, this may be bad news for RickB, planning on cashing in his M&Gs for this... time to make a confirmation call to J&R, R.B.?
I'm in Dallas, but I'd love to see a show at Red Rocks someday. From what I've seen on videos, it looks like a great venue.
i have been daydreaming alot about this. just wanted to say IMHO it would be super ace to have Jimmy Barnes guest on Too Much Ain't Enough
and it would be almost criminal to exclude Song of Yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on the fence about possibility of Jason Bonham guesting too, various logistical difficulties come to mind.of course it would not be a bad time to showcase Ordinary Son either!
and maybe when the sun goes down (after of course hearing When the Sun Goes Down)....Black Night for once already!
just some random fun thoughts! a great chance for a really different set and OF COURSE the ROCK aspect should be maximized!!!! Joe ROCKs Red ROCKS!!!!!!!!
all seems logical to me, of course!
.... and maybe just a smidgin of Pain and Sorrow? lol
