Re: New Cadillac commercial on TV

lol Roadcase Boy! Jane, that was a great idea! Not cool that they're ripping off Joe's stuff. It's amazing how companies work things so they avoid paying royalties. They should have paid Joe, incorporated more of the song, and had the car driving over a long bridge while the song is playing in the background.

Re: New Cadillac commercial on TV

Hey Jane,

Everytime I hear this commercial, it rings Joe B. louder and louder!

How ironic that the youtube clip is labeled Its Mine...didn't realize that before.

Not sure What's Going On, but recently I read about this. wink

just thought of a funny spoof commercial we could do, going along with the whole "it's mine" theme of the commercial and Joe pops in and says yeah but that riff is mine!

that one sounds like .38 Special meets Rick Springfield's Jesse's Girl

Well I forgot the obvious over riding urgency riff message was The Cars' "Just What I Needed" chord... tongue

I'm really glad I wasn't the only one who noticed that. It's as similar as IceIceBaby Vanilla Ice and Under Pressure Bowie/Queen.

You really can't copyright a G and an A over and over again. the beat is similar too, but in the end it's to simple to be owned by one person or track.
