Topic: I am not alone!

We have been listening to nothing but Joe for a week.  I listened to Sloe Gin 5 times today.  We are watching Live at Albert Hall I, as we speak.  We are going to BOTH Friday and Saturday nite shows.  The first present I asked for for Christmas had something to do with Joe.  To say we are hooked is an understatement.  I'm just so glad my wife gets it also, its so much fun doing it together.  Back in my college days I was amazed at Eric Clapton, Joe Walsh, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.  I would sit by the hour, by myself and just be in the best place in my life.  With my wife next to me, its multiple times better.  And Joe...he's the best I have ever heard.

The only thing we deserve, is an opportunity.  Everything else has to be earned.

Re: I am not alone!

Bobkat, how delightful to hear your delight!  Terrific to be able to share your Joe joy daily!

I am also devoted to Royal Albert Hall I, what got me hooked and will always be the Gold Standard for me.  I have watched that at least 50 times.  Seriously.  And have listened to nothing but Joe for a year and a half.  Except for...
an occasional Midnight in Harlem by Tedeschi Trucks - just haunting.  Also a bit of Sandi Thom and a lot more of Beth Hart (live even) - extremely good.  Went to see Govt. Mule live but couldn't really get into it - love Warren's voice and skill but it just didn't compare with Joe.  I think Joe's talent has totally ruined other artists for me!

Re: I am not alone!

Thank you for the warm welcome.  I have been reading the forum for a couple years.  Well today is the day.  My wife and I shut down our business for the day to get ready and enjoy the excitement.  She got her hair done last night, she's at the tanning salon right now.  She has a great outfit planned for tonights.  Tomorrow nights outfit is well...WOW!  A little on the R-rated side, but she has the looks to pull it off very well.  Me, I am outside putting my 5th and 6th coat of polish on my Corvette.  All the time blasting Joe to the neighborhood.  My philosophy has always been that women spend lots of time getting ready for a date, hair, nails, ward robe etc. A guy goes out and makes sure his car is in great shape for an important date.  This is fun.  Give you a report after tonights show.  After 32 years we still have great dates every week.  This one is special, however.

The only thing we deserve, is an opportunity.  Everything else has to be earned.

Getting off track here, but - - as terrific as Susan is on this, I'm wondering what would happen if Beth Hart were to give this a try...

Re: I am not alone!

Saturday morning and...Oh my God!  Not OMG.  But O H  M Y  G O D !  It is almost trance like, watching Joe and the band preform.  I mentioned before that one of my favorite groups when I was in college was Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.  When the 2 disc album, 4 Way Street came out, I think I listened to the acoustic disc once.  Then I wore out the electric disc.  The acoustic was great, but I need an electric guitar.  Then came last night.  For 45 minutes of acoustic guitar I was mesmerized.  Never heard anything like it in my life.  Then came electric and Joe melted faces like no one else can come close to doing.  Spectacular, spectacular, spectacular show.  Cannot wait for tonight, we will do it all over again.
