Anybody from this forum going? I called for an advance ticket already. I'm on the will call list because Moe's Alley is a small place. I've never seen anybody taping at his venue. Can anybody help me get started with some Live smokin Joe's blanks and postage?

I wish i could go to santa cruz but the timing is completely unworkable. I'm going to modesto - im new to the forum and would like to meet some other members, so if you're going to Modesto as well please reply back here. Hope you hve fun in Santa Cruz - post a review!

Attention Lisa and Scott!!! If you want the roadhouse ambience that was lacking at the Palace, Moe's Alley has what you're lookin' for old, smelly, dingy, loud, and not a place to sit unless you get there real early and beat out the bikers for bar seats or the little terrace right of the stage. It's only about an hour or so from your place depending on when you hit the road. C'mon kids give it a whirl and report back.

Yeah Dawg, That's a pretty accurate description of Moe's but it's my favorite RoadHouse! I've seen some incredible shows there including Joe's first gig there last year. You don't need a seat because everybody will be dancin'. I like the beer garden outside, too. Any reason to get out of Psychotic Silicon Valley and go to Santa Cruz to hang out by the beach and look at the college co-eds is alright by me. Plus I get to see the new Bonamassa band. I guess he has a keyboard player in the band now? Last year there was talk about having Joe play at the Santa Cruz Blues Festival. Call KPIG 107 Oink 5 FM and request a daily cup of Joe and a refill.

Too bad Moe's isn't on the beach but it's within a few miles across town. Tonight is Frank Marino of Mahogany Rush. Should I do back to back shows? Look for a guy with dark hair, short ponytail, glasses, and a grayish beard and say hi. Well that narrows it down alot! Don't know what I'll be wearing except my birthday suit. 50+ year old virgin (Virgo).
Who's recording?
Man i wish i could make that show, love Santa Cruz, used to go there on weekends and sleep on the beach with a kegger and a dozen friends. And Moes is cool, look out for the post in front of the stage, theres a reason that one bar stool is always empty, you cant see around it. How bout a report on the show ( RPIC? ) By the way, if you guys want to end the night in another bar, theres a really cool one up the hill from the park where they have fireworks. Just act like you belong, lots of rough looking boys in there, but great live blues!

I was there too Gr8ful. That was a fun time, we stayed over for the weekend. I used to cut school in my high school daze with some buddies and we'd make it from the far side of Walnut Creek to being on the beach at Rivermouth in under an hr., with brewski's in hand!!!
