Only had time to watch Borderline last night and wow, the memories come flooding back. Now there's ample time to revisit and savor every moment of that whirlwind week in icy London town that seemed to go by in a frostbitten blur. . Sorry so much of my mug is in that vid, tongue  there were far more attractive folks present. Lovely to see so many of our pals in various camera angles.

Damn that is just excellent work and my hat is off to Kevin and the crew that put this together! Joe just set the bar so high with that series it will hardly be ever equaled, much less surpassed. A prodigy at the top of his game with talent surrounding him to match. It doesn't get better friends.

Hmmm....just got home from work, better go check the post/mail to see what is there.  Too big to fit in the box I suppose, might have to go pick it up.


Back from checking the mail...nothing!!!  No email notification either!  Kinda thought international orders were going out first.  I'm sure Joe will come through.

Mine arrived on Halloween but I haven't watched any of the DVDs yet.  Work gets in the way!

I have flipped through the photobook and read the booklets. I was very careful in keeping the cellophane on the Marshall Amp which is absolutely amazing.  I almost didn't want to open it when I got it. I thought it looked perfect the way it was.

I would be happy just to have an empty Marshall Amp Box.

Cellophane???!!! I think ordering will be totally worth it if it has a Marshall amp replica covered in celllphane!

hmm I wonder if I'm lazy.. just walked up to the music store and picked up all 4 dvd's and saved myself $19 in delivery + duty charges since I did't pre-sale order from here.

But I'll still enjoy them just the same

No you are not.  The stores needed to be stocked on the 29th and they were.  I did not pre-order (despite knowing that pushes up possible chart position immediately upon release), that would have been for if I had attended all 4 Tour De Force shows.  Hard to miss them live in London became be patient and gently slide into pretend attend mode as others were getting excited united or reignited.  And some pre-orders still not bringing smiles to some sad

Hang in there for the sequence. We are watching one per night just like back in London and it is worth it. SBE is amazing! Even better than I remember because the horns were a bit weak live in that cavernous hall, but are right up there in the produced mix for some classic Chicago style grooving. Borderline was epic for that power trio retro Joe but that Blues night was just packed with goodies.
In a seriously cool coinkydink, Facebook chatter in BonaNation group last night had us and another Bonaholic commenting on the SBE cut by cut and it soon was apparent that we were synced up to closer than 10 seconds in our viewing pleasure. Lotsa fun being that close yet separated by a thousand miles.
BTW, Will you be getting that custom Joe wine bottle before the new year????? Maybe a hand-off at the SD gig. It is aging as gracefully as Tonopah Red can do. roll

Oh, man.  Good thing I am seeing Joe play on Tuesday. Watched royal Albert hall last night and just jonesing for more.  Watching Joe play those historical guitars with such reverence and joy, well it just gave me chills.  Not a low point in any of the songs. I have not enough adjectives.  I imagine This is probably one of those moments that will be talked about for years.  I find myself wanting to pat Joe on the back and say well done. How can he
ever top this?

Got my Blu-ray set as my "treat", on Halloween night.  So far though, all I've had time to do was admire the T-shirt, and look at the Marshall amp packaging.  Have to agree, looks pretty sharp.  I did scan everyone's reviews, here, so far.  (I missed all the "excitement" about the delays in shipping.)

Everybody's feedback is "amping" up my excitement, for when I get time to sit down and savor....  big_smile

Play like you've worked at it, and don't worry about sounding like your influences.  You can't cheat on them, or your practice, anyway.  If you've worked hard at your skill, your audience will know it.

Picked up my boxed blurays from the Post office this morning - very surprised indeed,  I was actually expecting another package.  Half way through the third concert right now.  FANTASTIC!!!

Would like to watch all four straight through but will have to go to bed real soon - I have another night shift in a couple of hours.

Will watch the rest when I get home in the morning.

Have watched all four shows twice now - at concert volume - AWESOME!!

Sure would have liked to have attended all four shows!!  Bit hard when you are at the opposite end of the world!!
