Check your junk mail or spam folder.  That is where my email was found.

"J & R Adventures is experiencing a delay in the delivery of the “Tour de Force” collectable custom leather Marshall Amp boxes and therefore we would like to inform you that your order will begin shipping out of J&R’s fulfillment center on November 1, 2013.
This box set (manufactured in America) will not be available for purchase in regular retail stores until November 26, 2013.
If you have any questions or would like a refund on your product rather than waiting the additional time for your purchase, please feel free to contact me directly via email at tamara@jr-adventures.com
We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you in advance for your patience."

This was the official message sent out this morning by our customer service representative. There was a bit of design flaw in the samples of the amp boxes that were sent to us for review. We requested that the manufacturer remake them as we want the boxes to look as close to the real thing as possible.

Again, thank you for your patience

I called Tamara (?) Tuesday to ask about this since we had only heard rumors of a delay.  I did get my invoice when I ordered, and the delay email yesterday (I suggested Tuesday that it might be prudent to let people know about this).  I also asked about the tix/M&G and was told a letter would come with the box set.

Re: Tour De Force Boxed Set?

Sandy, thank u for your info. I thought I read on the Store (and think some members confirmed receiving) DVD M&G info would b emailed 5 days or so after order.  I didn't sweat not receiving an email soon after...and when no Pbilly date was announced in the pre-sales...figured..."welll, no rush now." big_smile    Phil-ly!!! Just a question, I know DVD's have regions but does Blu Ray?

Hi Jim,

Andy answered this question in the sticky thread Joe's London DVDs will be released October 29.

It's good news, btw.

I think a lot more people have missed it than you realize. Hope you have the time to get back to it smile

Re: Tour De Force Boxed Set?

smile....thank u Natasha.  If only you and Jane check'd in occasionally to BHistory....that's good enough for me to keep at it!! big_smile  It was a time issue in Sept...which messed up a little getting started in Oct too.  Once I missed the first few Oct days....

Shooting for a clean Nov 1st start now.

Thanks for saying it was missed....but I was happy (and holding my breath each day) not seeing a post saying "Will you stop this!!" big_smile

Thanks always for all your contributions and captures of BHistory (and to the Forum in general.)  Even though I paused on BHistory ...I still checked in every day a time or two, or three, for my Forum fix.

Now...hoping I don't get a "Off Topic" slap post in this thread. big_smile

Re: Tour De Force Boxed Set?

It would be a nice idea if those of us who pre-ordered the box set were sent a Tour De Force Promo sampler DVD to hold us over until the set arrives?... smile

Personally, I appreciated the notice I received...it was well written, polite and gave options.
Now that I know WHY there was a delay,  I'm even more appreciative that J & R was looking out for their fans. I'm guessing lots of people would have said "they're good enough"!
Thanks.

Though the singles are shipping, I think the wait will be worth it. We saw it live so that tempers the angst.
I appreciated the email explanation as well.
