Topic: Tour De Force Boxed Set?

Amazon has the Blu-Ray set for $159 listed.  The Blu-ray discs individually are about $20, which is obviously cheaper.  Does anyone know if the boxed set has anything special that the individual discs do not have?  Otherwise, I will be buying the individual discs.

Thanks in advance,

Frank

Re: Tour De Force Boxed Set?

I would buy it through Joe's store http://jbstore.jbonamassa.com/tour-de-f … ds-free-t/ you get the 4 DVD's the Marshall Amp collector's case and a T-shirt for $129 and it will ship about a week sooner than Amazon.

Re: Tour De Force Boxed Set?

Thanks for the reply but I believe you are talking about DVD release...I am looking for info on the Blu Ray.  Thanks

Frank

Check the jb store link, the description says DVDs however it will offer a choice of DVD or blu-ray. I didn't click all the way through but pretty sure you can order it that way smile

Yes you have your choice of DVD or Blu Ray. If you order it asks your preference.

Re: Tour De Force Boxed Set?

Are the DVDs for sale at Joe's store region-coded? Or code-free? I need to know that before I place an order because I live in Europe.

Re: Tour De Force Boxed Set?

what would be sort of cool as if the Marshall Amp box was really a battery powered amp.
I've seen a few cardboard amps before.

They do make those.  I bought one or two last year at the Marshall factory - they sound (and look) pretty cool.

Just a question, I know DVD's have regions but does Blu Ray?

So I placed an order and paid via paypal. Today I was notified there had been "a delay in the manufacturing of the box sets, and unfortunately we have to postpone the release to November 25, 2013. All separate DVDs and Blu-rays will still be released on October 28, 2013."

Is this delay also for orders placed directly at Joe's shop?

Me not happy. Still I want the box, so will have to wait.

Re: Tour De Force Boxed Set?

Still says a ship date of 10-22 in Joe's store. I hope it's not changed to 11-25!

AC/DC did that a few years back!

Re: Tour De Force Boxed Set?

Does anyone know if the box set is being delayed for those who placed an order right when the pre sale started? I emailed customer service a few days ago but haven't recieved a response yet.

I emailed them asking pretty much the same thing & no reply either..

Re: Tour De Force Boxed Set?

I received an email today which said there was a delay.

"...would like to inform you that your order will begin shipping out of J&R Adventures fulfillment center on November 1, 2013.

This box set will not be available in regular retail stores until November 26, 2013."

I had pre-ordered through the JB Store a few weeks ago.  I'm sure everyone who pre-ordered got this same email. I don't think it's that bad of a delay - it's just a few days.

I received the same e-mail and I placed my order fairly quick...perhaps within 3 days of the sale start.
