my guess is that it was an amp from Victory, and that it was covered because it was a couple of days before Andertons announced their franchise to sell them. - So Joe assuming that I am correct, what did you think? Did you leave with one tucked under your arm?

I think the blanket is to trim some high frequency off the sound for the close miking.  But maybe for that and market "secrecy" also I suppose.  I'd also guess a Victory, Ian, and double down on the bet he walked out with one...

Those Anderton guys do some really WAY OUT gear videos if I remember correctly.  Wasn't there one series where they tried to kill a Gorilla amp, and one where they did an actual 'blind' test on a bunch of cheap and high end Telecasters?

have to say that I cringe with some of their film reviews as they are trying to be comedy actors without the ability, but can’t knock them for trying though.

Yes, they did do a blind test a while back, - brave of them.

Long before the days of YouTube when this store was just a “local” as a kid I would press my face up against the glass of this shop in its previous location opposite the Youth Club dreaming about instruments.
