Topic: Favorite CD/Album cover?
I don't think I've ever seen anything here discussing Joe's cd/album covers.
What's your favorite?
Sloe Gin (in a landslide) for me.

Sloe Gin (in a landslide) for me.
Dust Bowl for me.
Tough one!! I really like "You & Me" "Sloe Gin" and "Dust Bowl", but I'd say my favorite is "You & Me"
I'd go Dust Bowl as well (also my favorite JB album - coincidence?).
Ok Bill, something of Joe's I have a clear favorite of! Thanks for the topic.
A New Day Yesterday (in a blizzard) for me. The clouds, the sky, the as of yet unexploded transformers in a small town New York town...It just means a beginning...it means home.
Rock ON & Keep the Faith,
Rocket
You & Me
Have to call it a tie between You & Me and Sloe Gin. Both covers were done by Dennis Friel, thus the similarities and for those that don't read liner notes, You & Me was inspired by a photo by Melissa Durse, a Buckeye!!! LOL!
Queen of the Street Team!!!
J Dawg
Dust Bowl an all round winner for me!!!
Really like the cover of Live from Nowhere in Particular. Great shot of Joe. You & Me is great as well, love the treatment they gave to the photo.
You beat me to it. I'm with you on Live from Nowhere in Particular also. I also think so it's like that is clever too.
Dennis did a whole lot of the covers and I am always amazed at the variety of styles he comes up with.
I would have to say that Sloe Gin is definitely the stand out winner for me too. Driving Toward the Daylight knocked me off my socks too. I have a great appreciation for You and Me and think its very cool.
Black Rock is very attractive and makes a great shirt.
So, Its Like That isn't that 'pretty' but when I see it, I can't help but think of how beautiful it is because of what's contained within, then I giggle...Soap it Like That, lol.
I have copies that are faded, coffee stained, wine stained, tear stained, that have road rash, wrinkles and rips, and it still is a sight for sore eyes each time.but yeah Sloe Gin!!!
Oh but wait. The cover for the Color and Shape is noteable. Not that pretty either but something about it......and good friend who started this thread hooked me up with that. I actually thought of using it as a tattoo design. I don't have any but I think of them. Not colors I would want as a tattoo though. I will try to scan it in sometime to show you guys.
and HTCT makes me daydream.
but Sloe Gin is the fav
Jane, your mention of Black Rock may have spawned another topic!
I agree that it is a great t-shirt and may be my favorite. Part of it is it is very simple and has the cover print on the front and simple, unassuming lettering on the back. I wear the shirt as much as any other.
My vote goes to Dust Bowl as well.Sloe Gin comes in second.I like the Live at the Beacon as third
I love them all...too much like choosing a favorite kid, for me.
But Dust Bowl is right up there, very evocative artwork.
Being a car guy I really like D T Daylight but Dust Bowl is really cool. The DVD cover from the Live Albert Hall however is my favorite.
another vote for Dustbowl here, - could this thread be set up with a vote facility?
For me it is the visualisation of one of the best books ever written.
The Ballad of John Henry would have to be my favourite, followed by Had to Cry Today.
Driving towards the daylight is my favorite. Like the t- shirt for it as well.
Has to be, Sloe Gin for me - it also happened to be my first JB CD - You never forget your first's
