Curious to know if Beth is selling any merch on her tour with The Rides? Anyone who goes to any of the shows, please let me know.
Thanks!

Saw her in AC last night and they had a few items - the t-shirt with the pin up pic from the latest album and a few other things. I already had the t-shirt

Re: Beth Hart

Just got home from seeing Beth open for the Rides in Pittsburgh.  She is an amazing talent, I felt so fortunate to be in her audience.  I met Scott (sheesh, what a looker! and so sweet.)  I hung around outside the auditorium after her set in hopes of saying hi and that we are all so proud of her!  I also had a small gift for her.  Hooray, she finally came out and met a sizable group of fans.  She spent lots of time with each of us and was interested in everyone, very gracious.  She seemed to like the gift too, and I got a pic with her that I will use for my avatar for a while as soon as I can fix it up.  When I told her Joe was responsible for my knowing her, she said "Yeah, he's a genius".  They had to drive to Chicago tonight -ugh.

So fun that AIRPORTDON spoke to me in the midst of the crowd, said he recognized me from my avatar!  Happy to finally meet.  Hey Don, Beth came outside 30 seconds after you gave up and went back in!  If I had had your number I would have called and got you to come back!!  Then I went back in for the Rides but wasn't nearly as excited as for Beth, plus Joe has completely ruined me - just no one can compare, not even Kenny Wayne Shepherd...

Scott was helping set up the merch table - - they had T-shirts with 5 different Beth designs, all  on black shirts, along with Seesaw, Don't Explain, and Bang Bang, each for $20.

"To repeat a good thing is to sit still; to take a chance is to grow." - Joe Bonamassa
I need some Joe...NOW.

Re: Beth Hart

Was thinking about you this evening, Sally. Sounds like you had a great time! So cool you got to meet Beth! Heard a recording that Joe Beacon did of her show in Westbury, NY,  and seriously I don't know how the Rides can come after her, she is just so powerful. Touring with them, though, is such good exposure for her. And you're right, Joe has spoiled us. We have a little saying in our family, "Once you've seen The David..."(no other statue can compare) which we apply to anything that blows us away. For us, Joe is "The David" of guitar players
And for that matter, Once you've heard Beth sing.... smile

Hi Sally
Nice to have meet you as well....it was a very long & tiring day....
I had a feeling of sticking around for her-oh well better luck next time...
The Rides were good...Kenny was great playing and Steve was pretty good...his vocals were lacking....:(

I'm seeing Beth and the Rides on Friday night in Milwaukee. Had no intention of taking in that show until I found out Beth was along for "the ride." Can't wait to hear her live!

OMG - I never even thought of that. It would be beyond awesome to hear Beth belt out that tune since it's on my top ten list of all time fave songs!

I was hoping and praying she was going to join them...it never happened...she might have stole the show for the encore!

Hey Sally, Glad you got to meet Beth & Scott and give Beth your gift. Very cool. smile  Also glad to hear about the shirts. I'm hoping to get a new one. Getting excited to see her in 2 weeks and for my niece to see her for the first time. The setlists look so short though... sometimes only 7 songs. It will be over so quickly. I wish the Rides would have her come on with them for a couple songs. I'm surprised they haven't done that. She is making new fans though as I've seen a lot of posts on her Facebook from people discovering her for the first time and wanting her to come back and headline.

Re: Beth Hart

Had an awesome time seeing Beth & Band at the Fillmore last night. We got right to the front of the stage. My sister and my niece were with me. (So glad the Fillmore is an all ages venue!)  So, my 14 year old niece was able to see her for the first time ever and it was her first concert ever. She was really impressed. She left the venue with a setlist and a drumstick - nice bonus. The band was really tight and it was a high energy set. Beth didn't stick with the planned setlist as she often doesn't. They completely killed it and it was so fun. I almost didn't care that it was short.  wink

Setlist:

Spirit of God
Sinner's Prayer
Well Well
I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know
Better Man
Baddest Blues
Trouble
Whole Lotta Love

Hay!  I just got asked to go see Beth with The Rides in Reno!!  I wanted to go but was saving all my resources for Joe in Dec.

Any other Bonabuddies going ?

After the summer I have had, this means a lot to get a gift like this.

Good things come to those who wait in HOPE!

Re: Beth Hart

Looking forward to a review of the show,  Been wondering if Beth would be asked to come out for a song with Stephen, Kenny and Barry....

Play like you've worked at it, and don't worry about sounding like your influences.  You can't cheat on them, or your practice, anyway.  If you've worked hard at your skill, your audience will know it.

The Crossroads Guitar Festival 2013 will be released in November in DVD/Bluray & CD, it'll include Jeff Beck & Beth Hart doing Going Down, the same song Joe Bonamassa was featured in the DVD of the 2010 edition.

I'm broke, motherf**ker!

Re: Beth Hart

Thanks for the heads up! Can't wait to see that dvd! Although it might be hard to beat Joe's version on the 2010 Crossroads dvd! It's one of my favorite songs of the whole show!
