Hey Dino,
In addition to Joe's accomplishments, a couple things to make it interesting.
I got an idea to spin around, its not totally original, because it came to me after a DJ spoke on Sirius radio.
What is it about the blues that got you hooked? Meaning something like this...what ingredient of the blues gravitated you towards it...the guitar sounds..the lyrics...
How can the blues, which are always sad, make people feel good? or
Why would any of the younger generation be drawn to the blues, they generally are more privledged and self-serving, can they relate?
A DJ was saying its the story telling, the blues always tell a story. If one relates to the story, it makes them feel good that someone else understands how they feel, especially when you're down in the dumps, having some bad luck or bad love, etc..my thinking there. Food for thought, maybe...
Joe's relationship w/BB. King...King of the Blues...Where do you see yourself when you're 64 or 82, like BB is today? Still on the road as much...will the road always be your middle name? (that's a Bonnie Raitt line)
You've played with some wonderful musicians and you are only 30, anyone in particular still on your wish list? (it's been asked before, but still interesting)
And if time allowed a personal question just to kick things up a notch-always interesting, but Joe could feel really put on the spot, this one's iffy...ask about his beautiful girlfriend Lea, do they ever write songs together, help each other musicially, any wedding bells in the near future?
And about your #4- I haven't met a Dino I didn't love- Dino from the Flinstones, Dean Martin was Dino and the guy that cuts my hubby's hair is Dino!!

Nice effort on your part! Nothing that hasn't been mentioned is coming to mind right now. I don't think either of these two words should be associated with Joe in any way...dork I don't get at all and mafia is totally negative. Even if it could be twisted humorously, it will be misunderstood & leave a bad impression. I'm not sure if you were at all serious about either, so this could be a moot point.
Spot on the nail Angela.
Must admit though I did actually laugh out loud at the Bonamafia comment (I think I've missed some of the previous comments by/with Dino so I won't comment further, although he did say it was a joke) but do think it will be misunderstood if he meant to use it in the article.
I have had very small experience of being quoted in a newspaper once and it completely missed the point - I would have loved the oportunity to have a look at the article before publication and made sure the words reflected where I was coming from.
Maybe some words to get across that this guy is really, really, REALLY tallented. We all read about musicians and in print they all sound the same. Make people want to go out of their way to listen if they don't already know of Joe. He is after all a special talent
