My pleasure. I believe that YouTube video of 12 year old Joe is the show where I 1st saw Joe perform, been hooked ever since!
"not sure that all those Sturgis dates came to fruition."
Thank you...:) Other than Kenny's photo from 8/2, other photos, video, posts (even on this Forum) were hard find. There are many schedules listed. At first, I wasn't sure if Joe would take up residency for a week, but the schedules matched, so that's why I put the times....as some "proof".)
I didn't think of searching SD's State Police files!
....now THERE'S a google search phrase I didn't think of using to dig deep for more info on these Sturgis shows.

You know it's hot when Joe is sporting shorts and flip flops
It was indeed HOT! That was a very very memorable weekend with Bonabuddies from around the globe in attendance. I know it's a moment in time that some will never forget. I know I certainly won't.

Great having the Forum fingerprints all over this one (8/15/09 Hot August Blues - MD)!!
I see a "379" post thread from 2009: https://forum.jbonamassa.com/viewtopic.php?id=9463
8/15 is gonna take up some page space. Thanks all!
Great hot and hazy clip Rocket!
The Hot August Blues show was amazing. What was crazy was that it happened only a few months after the original RAH and there were a lot of us who went to this show that also went to RAH, so it was like a crazy reunion of sorts. It also cemented and created a lot more friendships which exist to this day. So much of the credit for this working out so well for so many was the lovely hospitatlity of Cathy Siler at "Camp Cathy" Deep in the Forest. A list of who was there would read like a who's-who of the Forum back in the day.
As I've said before (and I know this will not be the last time) the friendships I've made because of my involvement with Joe has just totally changed my life. I have friends all over the US, UK and Europe who are always so welcoming, and who know they are welcome to come to my place anytime. Ten years ago you couldn't even get me on an airplane - as of the moment I have flown to England four times (3 to see Joe) in four years, to Iowa, and to Chicago, and driven to Baltimore twice (from Massachusetts) as well as all over New England (well, except Vermont - haven't seen Joe there yet). Joe is the excuse for all these trips, but the reason is to visit with all my wonderful friends I've made along the way. Looking forward to many more of these experiences.

BTW that 'burst Joe was playing was one of Derek's and very much an original and very expensive. There is a video that shows Joe from the back of the stage looking the guitar over, noticing the notations on the headstalk and doing a double take over it.It was also close to the time Les Paul died and that guitar sat on stage most of Derek's set as a memorial.
Great post Sandy! I hope to be as lucky as time goes on and meet some members from this Forum. I'm sure many artists have devoted fans and Forums, but how many result in a group that looks like could be locked into a big room together and get along...even if the music stopped...or the drinks ran out...but maybe not both
Thank you for your contributions to Bonahistory. Makes it special.
Lastly...you brought up a great comment at the end...and I'm kicking myself. Out posted where I work, I have a copy of the photo Gibson posted when Les passed. I must pass it 20 times a day this time of year. In back of my mind, I kept saying "add his passing to that day's Bonahistory" (just for that day) and maybe add a link to the Google guitar they posted on his birthday. Just an hour ago, I passed the picture, saw the postng date, and kicked myself for not doing so. (Figured too late to do so now.) Your post prompted me to add this last paragraph. Thanks.
