Topic: Quality of Bonamassa Vinyl?

I understand that JB has a habit of squeezing his 60+ minute albums onto one LP. Over on the Dream Theater Forum, there's been some debate over whether this is a good idea, with 18-22 minutes per side perceived as the ideal length for a single LP and if you try to put too much on to one side, then "dynamics are lost, the record will wear out a lot quicker, it may get damaged, and there is a higher likelihood of the needle skipping parts, because the grooves are so close together that sometimes it may just 'slip out' of one groove and go into another"

My 50-minute copy of Jeff Healey's "Hell to Pay" sounds fine, but I was wondering if anyone here could tell us what the sound is like on Vinyl versions of albums like Dust Bowl, Black Rock & DTTDL, I would really appreciate it.

I guess it depends on the quality of your turntable & needle, amp & speakers.......

there was a couple of people that have stated that they feel the Records are too 'compressed' and they state they can hear it on the record

My feeling is that we loose too much in the Digital sound board, going into the the Digital recording device, then Kevin messes with it digitally to make it "sound better".

Not like the "old days" of analog mixer to analog recording to analog pressing.
