Topic: Alice Cooper Radio

It's that time of year again when I get in my Alice state of mind and blast "Schools Out For Summer".

Alice Cooper is syndicated on night radio- I don't know if Alice is on in your area, but in Phila. he is on my favorite classic rock station WMGK from 10:00PM to 1:00AM and doesn't always just play classic rock.  His site is easy for requests and has a phone# to call in.  Also, going back to last year, Cheap Trick was the warm-up for Alice on a tour and if you remember, Ricky Nielsen was impressed with Joe and invited him on stage...so I'm not so far out in fantasyland to think Alice Cooper couldn't recognize Joe's talent and maybe has heard of him!

Type in your area code and see if Alice is on in your area.

email address- alicecoopernights@yahoo.com  (this is not highlighting, I'll check it again tonite)

I bought Anthony Alice Cooper's 1973 Billion Dollar Babies Tour on DVD for Father's Day ($9 at Tower).  We're gonna' watch it tonight. We were both at the same concert but didn't know each other back then.  Alice Cooper and good karma...anything's possible!

Re: Alice Cooper Radio

I wonder what would be a good song to request of Joe's. Alice had hits from rockers to ballads.

Re: Alice Cooper Radio

Thanks for the support here and I think we can get through to Alice...remember that song...just ask Alice...  I didn't tune in last night, but I listened Monday night. I noticed that some of the classic rock he played, Alice picked obscure songs from the album, like ZZ Top for example, he didn't play the hits.  So, I'm thinking "Tea For One" would fit the bill.  I requested "So Many Roads" and "Takin'  A Hit".  I noticed some recorded lingo about playing songs different from standard radio and how many times Alice said e-mail me...It's a relatively new show so he's trying to gain an audience, I think.

Techie question-The street team sample of "So Many Roads", is that in a format that a radio station can play on the air if you send it to them?

Stu, can someone send Alice Cooper "Tea For One"?

Today is the first official day of summer and School's Out officially tomorrow...  I am going to send off a creative e-mail to Alice.

Re: Alice Cooper Radio

Too bad there's no point of contact to send him a CD. I imagine you could e-mail him and ask him if he'd like one.

Re: Alice Cooper Radio

I was just thinking about Alice the other day. I heard Generation Landslide on XM (I think it was Deep Tracks) and was remembering how much I liked the Billion (wasn't it "Billion"?) Dollar Babies album. I still have my vinyl copy...maybe I need to get the cd version.

Re: Alice Cooper Radio

Just called the toll free number to request and Alice's voice is on a recorded message and he said to leave a message.  Alice said he was busy hanging out with Ted Nugent!!  Timely coincidence, I'd say.  Left a detailed message...

Re: Alice Cooper Radio

Angela, you should check out:

Alice Cooper
Live in Montreux 2005

Excellent DVD and I am kind of partial because one of my favorite drummers is his drummer on this DVD, Eric Singer.    Also has his daughter Calico in the show.

He used to be on nightly here in Springfield, MO but the station that was carrying him pulled the plug.  I did enjoy listening to him when he was on.
