Topic: Why Does Love Got to be so Sad Cover/Collaboration

Hey guys,
A few weeks ago a fellow Derek and the Dominos fan from Poland and I decided to do a collaboration covering the Derek and the Dominos song Why Does Love Got to Be So Sad? We tried to stay as true to the original as possible (tone, licks, phrasing...) Check it out and let me know what you all think. We also plan on doing several others from this album in the future.

Hey. I enjoyed that a lot. Well done guys.

Not the easiest of tunes by a long chalk, with such an unrelenting tempo. You were true to it too I thought.

After I looked at the YouT clip I saw there was another Domino's track video there - my favourite off the album 'Bell Bottom Blues'. A drummer called Ray Greenfield was playing along. Despite my trepidation I took a look.

I thought he would be true to it, but maybe drummers can't resist a platform to put more in when it really isn't needed. I mean, if you were copying the Mona Lisa would one be tempted to make her smile a little more? Nah, cos that would be plain daft.

Very difficult most times to improve the original. Our patron here, is one of the very few that has, from time to time, succeeded IMO.

You and Colin found just the right balance I thought.

Thanks for all of the compliments guys I really do appreciate them. Clapton poured his heart and soul into the recording of this album, and it's just one of those things that really spoke to me. Thank you all for your support and maybe one day
