Thanks.  She just has SOME voice! Hope they do eventually tour the US together

Well you have to stop just saying Alan.  Use your voice to sell the music and make some money so they can afford to.
I keep saying it.  The U.S. of A. is NOT prime touring area for them until the sales mirror the potential of European markets.  And it has to be spread sales in several cities.  The cities it looks promising in, we will have hope.  Otherwise,...

Regardless, if I can't see them up close friendly live, I will take the recordings and any treat or crumb I can get a taste of.  Right, Günter?! big_smile

I know my point because I have some who pay lip service only.  There's my favorite, the hard sell.  But if they buy in...That ONE person is one with You & Me and others.  The more US sales, the chances get better and better.

Those going out to the remaining Beth Hart shows have an excellent chance to network and give the rest of us feedback, doesn't have to necessarily just be videos and photos, lots of words are good, too:
May 11th, Blockley, Philadephia PA

May 13th, City Winery, New York NY

May 16th, City Winery, New York NY

May 17th, City Winery, New York NY

Anyway, I underlined some things for consideration from Beth's site

"We’re all excited that this first US run is completely sold out and are looking forward to performing for you at:"

it goes on to list the above shows, but if the response is good at the shows and the release is a BIG hit............ wink  THAT'S my point. big_smile

Re: Joe and Beth Hart

Phil was at a conference in Florida this week that his accounting firm put on and he was spreading the word about Beth and Joe. It turns out that one of the people he was talking to is connected with the Blockley where we are seeing Beth this Saturday. They are working on doing  a video streaming of the concert. Phil has been in contact with the guy and we will let you all know if this is going to happen.

I actually for some reason didn't think of souvenirs. Hope I can add to my t-shirt collection which is threatening to take over the condo.  That and my guitars and amps....

By the way does anyone know her policy on pictures? I've got the photo pass for Joe next week but wasn't planning on bringing my digital SLR to her show.

Beth has always been okay with pictures. Sometimes if she sings a new unrecorded song she asks that it not be put on YouTube.  The venue might have a policy on pictures though. Might want to check with them.

Re: Joe and Beth Hart

We had an amazing time at Beth's show last night! Phil recorded the whole thing and I did video. I posted setlist and review in other artists section. Here is one song from Don't Explain, "For My Friend"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xTXoQkJ … ata_player

Lighting and smoke machine made for less than quality video at times, but we were inches from her keyboard, so that made up for it!
Others will be put in the other artists section.

Re: Joe and Beth Hart

Another review....  9 out of 10. (Not a surprise.)   wink

"On the back of Don’t Explain, there would have been surely no hesitation in recording together again and in Seesaw the music is near as exemplary as is possible to get without delving into a world where no other music exists. Beth Hart uses her smoky like vocals to breathe life into songs that didn’t even know they were gasping for air. Tracks made famous by legends are given a new task in life and whilst nothing will ever replace the sound of the likes of Billie Holiday or Tina Turner, Beth Hart pays homage respectively and with a huge amount of vigour."

http://www.liverpoolsoundandvision.co.u … um-review/

"With the thoughts of the Hangman we return in spirit to Led Zep III and the Gallows Pole, “Hangman, wait a little while, my sister is coming to rescue me”. Beth Hart is that sister which ensures that this project will overcome any hangmen doubters. Supported by a slick Bonamassa the duo cast away ropes around the neck, chains and shackles in order to deliver some powerful messages not only about our musical heritage but also about the recent history of mankind."

Every review just ups the anticipation.  Thanks Beth.  You are so on top of Beth I often wonder of you are Beth! smile Or Scott! yikes lol

I have always felt Beth had a connection to Etta James, but I was not aware how intense and fully ingrained it is in her, even though the ears were beyond nominal suspicion.

Can't wait much more...

Thanks - I was thinking all night at her show tonight on who she reminds me of and Etta James is a perfect comparison.  She takes us to church and wrings the audience out.
