Topic: UK Gov't changes photo rules

In short this change means that "orphaned images" or digital images without any metadata (which is frequently stripped off the file at the point of upload - as it is with Facebook) can be used with impunity by others because they have been unable to trace the owner of the work. Safeguard your images, by ensuring you watermark any image that you post on the web and position it so that it cannot be cropped off your image, maybe across the middle, but only just visible. Register your watermark or ensure that it is traceable back to you.
