The thing I find most interesting is that Zeppelin did everything right to be the clear favorite. They had the most votes in the nomination process, and walked over every single opponent up until the finals. Until they met Jimi. Just goes to show what can happen in a tournament. 
Congrats Jimi! I'm actually reading "The Jimi Hendrix Companion" right now, which is a collection of interviews and articles about him. Fun readd.

Ha ha, yeah, we'll probably get the same winner then!!! 
You know, I wouldn't be so sure. I think it all comes down to matchups. I remember looking at the Who facing the Stones in round 2 and going "Oh, that's unforunate." And at the same time, I think the Beatles would've made the Final 4 if not for running into the Stones. Clapton might have made a deeper run if he hadn't have run into Govt Mule. And I thought Rush could've taken down Zeppelin in the tournament but they got upset by Chris Duarte. And what if one more person had voted for B.B. King and he had gotten into the tournament? It was definitely interesting to watch unfold though! Chris Duarte's run to the Sweet 16 was definitely my Cinderella of the tournament.
So...does Jimi get a first round bye next year?
