it would be totally awesome if those things ate stink bugs!

Jane, such an enormously great concept!

Re: Cicada alert

Our chickens will eat stinkbugs, but then I worried that the eggs would taste nasty, so I stopped giving them to them. We actually have cicadas every summer around August. They are so loud in the evening that when my son was younger and had a sleepover on our porch with his friends, one kid went home in the middle of the night because the bugs were too loud. We also have enormous cicada killer bees. They kill the cicada, then grab it, climb up a tree with it and then launch off a branch, flying with it across the yard to land in our garden where they bury it in a hole for their offspring to eat when they hatch. Quite a spectacle to watch.

Plagues of: Cicadas? Stinkbugs? Killer Bees? I'll take one of our little shakers any time. Besides, when the big one hits Cali will float due to all the airheads out here.

Rick, I so love your laid back Cali logic. Anyone who can see the upside to an earthquake has clearly found 'the way'.

Great karma man. Lets bottle it, market it and flog it. Make a gozillion, then when the 'big one' hits we can have a grandstand seat, a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue by our side and 'Echoes' (a soundtrack to oblivion if there ever was one) thundering out of the 8 - Track.

Maybe that should be a new thread....name the soundtrack to the end of the world smile

Rock on that man
