It was done by vote at the beginning. Problem was, there was 23 artists with 2 votes apiece (including the Beatles), which meant I had to do a random sort to be completely fair on both seeding and which 11 artists had to be cut, which meant putting bands like B.B. King, Cream, and Michael Burks on the cutting room floor. That's the most fair way I can think to do it.

The Magellan Bracket: Led Zeppelin defeated the Derek Trucks Band 19-2. This did not surprise me. AC/DC defeated ZZ Top in a close one, 12-9. Jeff Beck beat Black Sabbath rather resoundingly 14-7. Chris Duarte pulls off the upset of the tournament so far by defeating Rush 11-10.
The Principal Skinner Bracket: After a back and forth start, Pink Floyd pulls away from the Tedeschi Trucks Band 15-6. Free barely beats Beth Hart 11-10. I thought that Govt Mule and Thin Lizzy would be a close one, but Govt Mule pulls away 14-7. Clapton beat Queen 14-7.
The Babe Bracket: Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble whip Indigenous 20-1. I thought Robert Cray and Rory Gallagher would be a nail biter, but Rory Gallagher wins handily 17-4. Tom Petty vs The Allman Brothers was another one that I thought was going to be really good, but Allman Brothers win 16-5. And Hendrix beats Neil Young soundly 17-4.
The Goldie Bracket: The first number 1 seed is out of the tournament as The Who fall to the Rolling Stones 12-9. The Stones winning sets up a classic matchup with the Beatles as the Fab Four beat Lynyrd Skynyrd 12-9. Deep Purple beats Kenny Wayne Shepherd 14-7. Gary Moore knocks Freddie King out 16-5.
