Sure! Joe Bonamassa is an ambassador for (modern) Blues Rock with an very high reputation especially in the Rock - and Metal-Scene (at least in Germany, but I thing this is worldwide) ... so, the world outside of Bluesmusic is listening to what he is transporting into their world, and people from "outside" will join more and more the world of Bluesmusic.

I'm pretty sure, if you repeat this interesting study every year, the mixture of bands and styles will grow and grow ... and I think that this is a good sign: beeing open minded like Joe is (he seems to be) ...

If the lists went to 20 instead of 10 youd probably get a lot more diversity in there too. It was very hard for me to choose once I got down to 7 or 8. A lot of my 11-20 would change some of those "1s" to "2s"

My 10 favs:
- Pink Floyd
- Gary Moore
- Beth Hart
- Jethro Tull
- Dire Straits

- Santana

Re: March Madness! The forum's Favorite Band/Artist Bracket!

It's looking like I'm going to have to do a random sort in the Excel sheet I'm using to figure out which of the bands with 2 votes is going to get in. Because after including all the ones that have 2 votes I'm going to have 66 bands, and I need 64. Polls close at 8AM CST tomorrow.

Re: March Madness! The forum's Favorite Band/Artist Bracket!

First off, I will post the 2 vote bands that didn't get in. Remember, this is completely random, and I can think of no other way to do it than something that would be extremely arduous. And anyway, somebody always complains in the NCAA Tournament about the last few that didn't get in. If one of these is your favorite artist, I'm sorry, but there are some in here I would automatically put in without thinking (how did B.B. King not get in?!), so oh well.

Alter Bridge
Foo Fighters
Cream
Aynsley Lister
Bad Company
Bonnie Raitt
Robin Trower
Michael Burks
B.B. King
Judas Priest
Robben Ford
