Re: Joe's show on Planet rock

Thanks! Great list and cool that he was live in the studio! smile

Re: Joe's show on Planet rock

Pete and I think that Joe may have given a hint in this show for a special guest at one of the London dates. From the above list it shouldn't be too hard to work it out. Then again, we could be misreading the runes. wink

Re: Joe's show on Planet rock

It'd be cool if Jeff Beck joined him onstage.

Re: Joe's show on Planet rock

He's been getting a lot of airplay by Joe recently. Could just be. cool

Come on the Blades (sorry Idolbone just had to borrow your line)

Re: Joe's show on Planet rock

I hope Joe's show is on again next week. It hasn't been on the last 2 weeks.

Re: Joe's show on Planet rock

That's Nicky Horne leaving Planet Rock - going to TeamRock Radio in mid June. A rival station from the owners of Cassic Rock Mag and there will be special programmes based on their mags - Classic Rock, Blues, Prog & AOR. Gonna be interesting!! And Joe should get regular airtime.

They have confirmed that they are not going to just play the same old songs.

Re: Joe's show on Planet rock

Sounds like a good station. Does anyone know if the station will be on a website for people to listen?

Re: Joe's show on Planet rock

The new station will be on DAB radio but isn't on air at present. There does not appear to be a website.

Re: Joe's show on Planet rock

Is DAB radio something you have to purchase? How do I listen to it?

Re: Joe's show on Planet rock

Nicky's leaving? I can see all my digital radios being retuned to TeamRock shortly.

Planet Rock had built a great station but the new owners are doing a good job of ruining it.

DAB is digital radio.
It will be free in UK if you have a DAB radio.
Outside UK you may be able to listen via internet.
Wait for website to go live.

Re: Joe's show on Planet rock

TeamRock – the new owner of Classic Rock and Metal Hammer magazines – is gearing up for the launch of a national digital radio station.

The station will broadcast on the national digital audio broadcasting (DAB) platform Digital One and will not carry any spot advertising.

The music kicks off from 4pm today on National DAB digital radio, as well as streaming through Radio Player.

TeamRock Radio’s daytime output will concentrate on classic, current and new rock music. Evenings and weekends will be devoted to a range of specialist programmes including the Classic Rock Show (presented by Nicky Horne), the Metal Hammer Show and also shows for Prog, Blues and AOR.

Head of TeamRock Radio Hugh Evans (also known by the on-air name of Moose) said: “TeamRock Radio is not just another rock station, we will play the greatest rock music from established to new, current to breaking, and weave it together with a true passion for rock music. Quite simply, you will hear more of the great rock music in the world on TeamRock.

“We hope rock fans will like it. We also have more presenters to announce in the next couple of weeks.”

Make sure you’ve got your DAB digital radio tuned into @TeamRockRadio from 4pm – when we launch a commercial-free national rock and metal station!

No matter how far you try to push the envelope, it remains stationery
