Late notice on this one, but worth mentioning for any Canadians here, Stompin' Tom Connors passed last week.  Wrote some every iconic tunes that most Canadians know and can sing along with.  Saw him live back in the '70's.  I thought he was old then!

I happened to be working on Prince Edward Island this past weekend, our job site was a 5 min drive from where Tom called home.

Peter Banks was a great guitarist in a great band.  Him and Tony Kaye should not be over shadowed by their replacements.

We faithfully watch the reruns on PBS and laugh every time. I trust he is being served to his utmost delight. Another great one lost to us. RIP Captain Peacock.

Horror novelist James Herbert passed yesterday; only a week or so after his 23rd book, Ash was published. Back in the day, I devoured books like The Rats, The Fog, The Spear, etc and still enjoy dipping back into his works.

Sad loss.

And only 69 years old. He hadn't written a book for a number of years and then Ash was released. Have read all his books. Sad loss indeed.

George Ross Watt, popularly known as Big George, who has died aged 54, was a blues guitarist and singer who took a sound forged in the bars of Glasgow to the home of the blues in America and toured his music across the world without ever fully receiving the recognition that his talent and his band, Big George and the Business, deserved.
