Topic: Stuttgart, 9.3.

Joe bought a new pair of shining red shoes - but probably that´s not the main reason that the Stuttgart show was one of the best I´ve ever seen. I always loved Joe´s shows, but sometimes I was thinking that his band shouldn´t be only a backing band for Joe. A change came when Tal was playing the drums in a much more active way than Bogie. And now it´s Arlan. I liked his acoustic playing  in Vienna, but it´s still another dimension if this guy goes electric. Far out! Actually I was very sorry for Bogie and Rick disappearing, but I have to say that Tal and Arlan are fitting better chemistry- and sound-wise. So my wish for a more active band became true with other artists. And you could hear the change - it felt like the whole band was rejuvenated.
Waiting for tonight to have the next show in Nürnberg.

I wish I could be back in Nürnberg tonight with you!!! I will be in attendance in Spirit!  Hellos to you and yours, Günter, and give my regards to any crew or band members you come across for me, and of course Joe, too, if you do.  An enjoy the rejuvenation, which is essentially only an ongoing, continual evolution to Joe's repertoire.

Great to hear of the band's evolution. I thought Arlan would be an improvement after hearing him play here at the Baked Potato shows. I too was one who always found the keys too far down in the mix before. Have a great time!

Re: Stuttgart, 9.3.

Loved the picture of the ruby slippers Gunter, thanks smile I agree. It is a different show with Tal's energy. I remember noting I had never laughed so much at a Joe show as I did the first time I saw Tal.  I've only seen Arlan with you in Vienna, so I look forward to seeing him in a "normal" show. Lucky boy, two in a row!!!  Cathy

Re: Stuttgart, 9.3.

A strong band has to challenge the "leader" to bigger and better heights. Thanks for the review!

This is GREAT news Guenter! I am very excited to see Joe again after reading the various Bavarian reviews. Finally changing up the set lists each night and jamming with one another......awesome. This is the only way to stay fresh as musicians and keep everyone on their toes both in the band and in the audience. Very happy to hear this.  Way to go Joe!
