Topic: 1996 SRV Strat For Sale
Thought I'd post in the forums. $1000 starting price, $1199 BIN, free shipping via UPS to the lower 48. It's a great guitar, I bought it new in 1996, but I have others covering similar sonic territory and I want the money to buy different gear.

1996 Fender SRV Strat. Fret level & crown in 2012, plays great. A little wear and tear from gigs (pics show the small dings), and a couple mods:
I put on a perloid pick guard when I first got it, but the original black SRV pickguard (and black trem cavity plate) is included.
I replaced the bridge pickup with a DiMarzio stacked HB that sounds great because it's very similar to the stock Texas Special, just noise-free and a little bit thicker. The original Texas Special bridge pickup is included if you want to go back to stock.
I also have a rubber band glued to the volume knob to facilitate volume swells (my personal touch). Easy to swap in a clean volume knob if you don't like it.
Note: stock parts (pick guard, back plate, bridge pickup) are included if you want to make it like-new again, but it's better now imho.
Original Fender tweed hard case included.
I bought it new in 1996 and it's been great - I'm simply selling to finance other gear.
