Topic: Fall 2013 Tour

Anyone here any hints about Joe's fall tour dates and release of info.  Just curious.

I know of three dates in Georgia and in Charlotte, NC, all in November.

Re: Fall 2013 Tour

David A,  How do you know this and what are the venues in Georgia?  Thanks in advance.

Re: Fall 2013 Tour

I'd love to know as well. Just purchased the new lithograph so we'll be able to do the next meet and greet. I'll bring a guitar for him to sign.

We partner with PBS. They'll run one of Joe's recorded performances (RAH, Beacon and in this case I'm guessing Vienna) and we'll give them an allotted amount of tickets to sell to raise money for their local station. It's a mutually beneficial arrangement in that Joe gets the publicity and new fans that discover his music through viewing a performance on PBS and the station gets the proceeds from donations.

That said, I believe there's something going out in the next week or two containing information on Fall tour dates, so stay tuned.

Like Andy said it is via Public TV that those dates are set. Atlanta, Augusta, and Savannah are in the mix for Georgia in November. Fox Theatre is the venue for hot Atlanta.

Re: Fall 2013 Tour

Are there any plans for Joe to return to the UK to play outside of London? It would great to see him back in Bristol.

I'll second that. Somewhere in Yorkshire for me, the closer to Sheffield the better.
However, I would spring for a night away if Joe fancied something smaller like, say, Scarborough Spa.
I've promised my son I'll take him to the next JB show for his first concert experience (I like the PG-rated atmosphere compared to a Steel Panther gig). Hopefully there will be one in striking distance, especially if on a school night.

What The Fuzz ?!

Re: Fall 2013 Tour

I am hoping Joe does not forget his Upstate NY roots when planning his fall tour. Would love to have him back in Buffalo.

Re: Fall 2013 Tour

Glasgow this Winter/Christmas would be amazing!

Re: Fall 2013 Tour

Thanks Andy for the clarificatin.  Thanks David A for the names of the cities.  A trip to Atlanta may be in the works

I'm with Yorkie, but somewhere like Sheffield City Hall, the sound at Motorpoint Arena was not brilliant, but handy for food and beer. big_smile

Re: Fall 2013 Tour

Well he said he'd be playing L.A. In December with the winner of the GC contest.

Fully agree with you there. The Arena has always been pretty bad for sound quality (then again, you don't need good acoustics for an ice hockey game). SCH is a much better venue, just fewer seats to get backsides on, so that probably comes into the equation somewhere (term 1 or 2, I'll wager).

If I remember right the City Hall holds about 2500 to m3000. I can't think that there were many more at Motorpoint Arena. They must be much better to play as an artist as well. Back in the 60's 70's all the major acts were there. I was even front row for Led Zeppelin there. He could always do two nights. lol
