Time to throw the pure foot in balls score prediction! Some fool has to be bold or stupid, maybe both.

49ers 37,
Ravens 24

I did it several pages back at the outset.
Just to bring it to the fore,
Ravens 17, Niners 14.

And those boards are a lot of fun. Adds to the party as random chance usually has my wife getting lucky. smile

I knew that, Rick.  You made the first, and those who "followed" also predicted 14 points for the loser.  Only Jane has ventured to higher score prediction territory.  In fact, she has caused me to reconsider my prediction and jump it up to:

49ers 41,
Ravens 24

I don't play with sports math so who knows how 41 happens in football...

And as far as party and football, for me it is always has been, party AFTER a game, whether training camp scrimmage or Super Bowl loss (or win of course), never, ever before or during...  Of course, if I have been invited to a Super Bowl party in past, if I accept never must be abolished in the name of good manners and when in Rome (to a degree), etc...

Been a great week.  Two big wins by Harbaugh brother-in-law Tom Crean and us hanging out in Memphis.  I really like the 49ers today.

Congrats to the Ravens, the ending was a little odd, but exciting......Ray Lewis gets a nice send off, he must be on top of the clouds

See ya next year folks wink

Re: The NFL - National Football League

That was a wild one. A little better effort by the SF Special Teams kickoff unit and the party might be in SF right now. The intentional safety by the Ravens punter cost one of my friends at the party I attended $500.00 on his pool @ work, funny how that stuff works out! Lookin' right down the sights @ baseball season now!!!

My mom lost out on the big board win at our fest by that 2pointer as well. That was a great call though as it iced the game.

Re: The NFL - National Football League

PHEW!! I have tried to be quiet about my faith in the Ravens during this, but I tell you, Baltimore fans knew something special was happening. We just believed. We needed this. I think the power outage helped the 49ers, so the last half almost gave me heart failure! So this year it's our turn. Every fan needs a turn once in a while wink A game for the history books.  smile smile smile

Before the last drive, i had checked the other 3 possibilities (SF TD, SF FG, SF doesn't score) and knew who would win for each of those. I hadn't really considered the safety. About 5 minutes after the game ended, I realized the points had changed and should probably check squares to see who the lucky #%*^+* was that won the final quarter. Yeah, it was me, haha. Funny that I paid attention to my squares the entire game, but didn't realize I won the final quarter.

With you on that one Cathy! God, were we on the edge of our seats in that final quarter. My husband and son literally biting their nails. You could hear fireworks going off outside in our little town when it was over. Way to go Ravens!

Re: The NFL - National Football League

Major elephantine congratulations to the roustaboutin' Ravens.

JDawg, the second half kickoff return was the rift too far gone to mend.  Ravens blockers pulled a double rodeo steer away cattle roping on a 49er (4 arms completely corralling him!), Jacoby Jones (my pick for Ravens MVP) right though the "block" to the end zone  That was nearly "lights out" for the prospectors, but the team came back.  Complaints about last drive defensive holding-moot!  They should've run the ball at that point, I mean reeeeeally??? Poor play calling in my opinion.

OK, Ravens now 2-2 in Super Bowls, so NOW can somebody in Baltimore please bring back a viable, "new" school Hammerjack's???!!!

Re: The NFL - National Football League

Any comments on the draft? My Cleveland Browns made a great pick @ #6 acquiring Barkevious Mingo outta LSU, a beast on the D-line. After that I have no clue what they are up to, especially trading Pick #111 to the Steelers of all teams!
