HarBowl.....BAH!!! I know most of the knee jerkers will say, hey remember Thanksgiving Day year before last? Yeah, I do, but this is a way more advanced SF team comin' to call. This team goes beyond 11, get it??? Niners are already 5 point favorites. Whoops, it already slipped to 4, but remember all you degenerate gamblers out there, SF has never lost a Super Bowl in 5 tries.
Go Niners!!!

Make that 6 Dawg. Falcons and Packers threw (no pun intended) everything they had and came out on the short end, don't see the Big One being as close. Niners will cover the line easily.
Go Niners!!!

100% on last week's picks.
Ravens all the way for me, obviously!
They didn't have a shot in Denver, they didn't have a shot in Foxboro, now they haven't got a hope in NOLA either.
Bring it on.
I see the difference being fundamentals. Not a single missed tackle by the Ravens unless I missed a play while making a beer run to the fridge as they manhandled the Pats. Face it, that was an old fashioned smashmouth game and they delivered the goods in the 2nd half. Defenses win Superbowls and in that category the Ravens will prevail. Maybe that rookie QB will rise to the occasion but then again experience counts and Flacco has it. Bet the farm and take the points.
Rick
that's a bold prediction but I have to agree with it. Not sure how they came up with the opening line, SF -4, it's a neutral site and Joe has been playing exceptionally well. What is Colin going to be able to do that Tom Brady could not? Run you say? Ravens will have a "spy" on him all day long, he ain't runnin far. yeah, I'll go with the superior defense.

Any other year i would be hoping for an happy fair well, but i really think the 49ers will win this one in a slobber knocker.....Akers makes the game winner :pray
SF 17
Bmore 14
Goodness....you guys writing off the Niners right off. I ain't. Defense does win these things, but San Francisco's a team of destiny and will win 21-14.
The 49ers landed in Nawlins last night....Harbaugh and Kap gave some of shortest answers to all questions at the press conference....BORING....will someone please liven up the place PLEASE!!!!

Not sure who votes for the Pro Bowl MVP, but Russell Wilson got jobbed. In my very objective opinion LOL.
Y'all getting excited yet out there on the left coast?
I am. This is the first SB in memory (that I've been able to watch) where I really want one of the teams to win. Usually, I could either care less, or I want one of them to lose because of some ridiculous dislike.
But this time, I'm seriously pumped up for the Ravens!
The Bay Area is buzzing and I can't wait to get the game started Sunday as I'm sooooooo tired of hearing about it. I'm gonna take a large dose of deer antler spray to enhance my viewing enjoyment!!!
GO NINERS!!!

A pair of pork butts for the smoker tomorrow and my Carolina style BBQ sauce simmering. Big bash at my sister's place as usual. Betting boards will fill early.
The great American football orgy is ready to roll. (that Mercedes ad sure is a fine looking car, but I doubt it would have THAT many women chasing me.)
Go Ravens!

glad you said something, I had not even thought about what to cook Sunday. pork butt sounds really good, what kind of wood(s) do you use? I usually don't use any kind of sauce. Could you just mail me a piece of that gnarly outside "bark"? After about 6 hours my outside bark is more like pork jerky.

Valley Oak, the most plentiful hardwood out here (imported smoking hardwoods are pretty pricey). I did a small shoulder and sent it to Funky Doc last year in trade for some of his secret sauce. His seal of approval made my smile pretty wide. Edit: secret to success is 215-225 F-Low and Slow- in the chamber and a water pan. Cook to an internal 190F , then wrap in foil and towels and stick it in a beer cooler for an hour or so. Most any good dry rub is fine. I use yellow mustard to make it stick which also moistens the bark a bit.

oak is good, they use a lot of it in Texas. I used to use hickory but found it got too strong a flavor, now I try to use pecan or pecan and applewood mix. I also do the mustard thing. I have the small Weber round unit, so I concoct a spray of apple cider vinegar and Moore's type liquid seasoning with the soy base. Then I just hose it down real good about every 30 to 40 minutes. It sounds delish already, but I may end up doing a brisket. They have gotten so expensive for such a mediocre cut of meat.

Get one of those cheap aluminum roast pans and rig it under the Weber's grill with coat hangers for the water. It stabilizes the temp and gives indirect heat which is what gives that bark the finish. Cheap and easy, then toss it when done. I'd love to try pecan but it doesn't exist here.
I'm going to try that, thanks for the tip
