Wow big time game by KapDaKid !....keeping fingers and toes crossed for the NFC title game....my gawd what a bone head end to the first half of the Hawks and Birds, ole Pete should have known better, dont get greedy, get on the board....oh by the way, that safety on the Broncos will not sleep well until next year, how can you let a guy beat you when that all the Ravens had was one deep pass left, no excuse for that....

Love the Playoffs...."DID YOU SAY PLAYOFFS??".....Mora Sr. immortalized

Pete saved his best dumbassattack for the end, calling a TO as the Falcon's kicker missed the field goal.  The resulting mulligan split the wishbone and ruined Wilson's incredible performance.  Great game and I got to watch it for once.

I may be alone, usually am with my thinking, but it was, perhaps only to me, fairly obvious that Bryant decided to kick it as a practice shot, not as a voided by "icing" attempt that would drop kicker confidence down a notch.  I ALSO got the feeling he missed it on purpose, for anti-icing stress defusing...That would be a very cool customer move.  Unheard of, but the time elapsed since the whistle blew was fairly long as far as seconds in a football game.  If I was an NFL coach, in a critical game at such a critical point, I would design a play like that.  If distance was greater, I would design it so the upback insured a practice kick by calling the time out before opposing coach made a sideline TO.  If the sideline coach called the time out, or the upback called time out, snapper, holder and kicker could feign hearing whistle and take the practice shot...even if blocked adjustments could be made.

But if Bryant missing on purpose as a tactic was "genius", he spent a season's worth on it with that onside kick gaff.  What was he thinking?! roll Wow, I hope, cannot imagine that was a coaching decision, that's the only way it could be worse.  Great game nevertheless; Wilson Rookie of the Year.

In the Broncos-Ravens game, some ragged Peyton Manning for taking a knee instead of taking a shot with a half a minute ot go in regulation tied at35, from his own 20.  That was totally a coaching decision as I read Peyton's lips as the ravens tied it and he said going to overtime.  They had a game plan(s) in place for OT irrespective of the coin toss I am sure.

3 Fantastic!!! games so far.

Re: The NFL - National Football League

Sorry for my absence during all the excitement, but I've had an unbelievably strange weekend - on Saturday I drove over 1300 kms (800+ mi.) for a friend after not much more than three hours sleep, got home when the Ravens game was well into the second half, but I started watching  my recording, of course...which cut off around 5 mins into overtime...grrr. Tivoed the OT from the highlights and caught up on sleep.

A wonderful weekend of sport! Two really good games - Atlanta and SF, one no brainer that should have been even more decisive - the Pats, and one classic game for the ages, the Ravens' unbelievable come back in conditions that sane people should not be outside in. Of course, the safety was to blame, but that last minute bomb by Flacco was something else! Peyton once more chokes at a crucial moment in a playoff. This was my game of the season for sheer thrills, excitement, and guts.

The last minute of the Atlanta game was unreal. I was so glad to be watching as a neutral. Thanks to Atlanta I recovered to 2-2.

My plan is to seriously root for two miracles - a minor one in Foxboro, call it 'revenge for Ray', and the major one that will be required for Atlanta to beat the Niners. Kaep is frightening, don't want to face that kid! I would dearly love the Ravens to pull this off for a fairy tale ending for Ray (don't Dawg, please).

Bill, I'm with you on the RG3 incident. I would have  pulled him then too, I was shouting at the tv....it is what it is, the euphoria went to everyone's heads and they went with the flow while ignoring common sense. They left him him way, way too long. I'm not suggesting that the result would necessarily have been much different, who knows, but it's indubitable that we were 14-0 up, and the game started going south from that first hit, when our boy lost his mobility. All we can hope for is that he makes a Peterson-like recovery.

My head says Pats and Niners. My heart says Ravens and Falcons (only because I reckon they're less dangerous than Kaep, the beast).

Re: The NFL - National Football League

I'm 5 ft. 2in. 91 pounds. Good athlete. I think in 7 yrs. I will be between 6ft.-6ft. 4 in's. 140 pounds. I hope to go to a good college in football. Then go to the pros and play on the Niners or the Packers even if they aren't good in 7 yrs. My friends are Jason, Kyler, Leo, Spencer, Mark, and Jacob.

                                                                                         Sincerely,

                                                                                         Colin

This is a 4th grade essay assignment Kaepernicks class had to write about their futures. Pretty dead on, ya think? good thing Nevada gave him a football scholarship or he might have taken the Cubs offer out of high school, he had a 94 mph fastball in high school. This hit the Bay Area media a couple weeks ago, but is now making the rounds on FB and Kurt Warner brought it up in an interview with Colin on NFL Network over the weekend. Nice to see a kid fulfill their dreams.

                                                                                          Go Niners!!!

P.S. I shared it on FB if anybody wants to check out the original letter and pic of Colin in 4th grade. Looks just like he does today only clean shaven and he's wearing a shirt so you can't see his tats....NOT!!! LOL!

I think the Pats will crush the Ravens...but after watching the game,I'm starting to think there might be fixing going on here for Ray Lewis's last year.

And so castles made of sand melts into the sea, eventually.........

That's a bit of a stretch, but after watching Goodell give him a bear hug, on the sideline no less, ya gotta wonder.

As much as the Niners fans would love to see the Championship in SF I don't think the Seahawks would sleepwalk through the first half 2 weeks in a row. The better team lost in ATL, but maybe that was a karma payback for that ridiculously bad call against the Packers.

Shreddy all Kaep has to do is play half as good as he did Sat. and the 9ers can pull this off. You're familiar with Ted Robinson the 9ers play by play man, he made a comment this am on KNBR that the 9ers have finally arrived at the point where they are winning on the strength of their quarterback alone. Something Alex Smith was never known for.

I disagree on both counts.  Make that 3 with the fix bit.  Atlanta was the better team, even though the NFC West teams were the better teams in the NFL this year.  Remember Arizona out of the gate?  Yeah, the horse faded, but, for a short while...

And  by all "nuances" of NFL rules interpretations, the correct call was made and upheld, but the brainwashing theatrical punkdits and peanutty galleries that prove everyone fakes inebriation from "light" beers, stoked the already seething anger fire pit so that rowdy know-it-all-ism spread like a wildfire.  We agree to disagree, but, remember, you and however many legion for the majority opinion,  this is a case of minority rights! wink

WHOA! Ray Lewis was in the wrong place at the wrong time. In the 17 years he's been in Baltimore, he's done nothing but good for the team and the city. As for the fix! BAH! The last two games have been close, but thrilling. We will be glad to have another chance to watch Ray play wink

Fixing games has never been proven in the NFL, yet, but has in the NBA. Google the name Tim Donaghy. With that kind of money at stake anything is possible.
