Topic: Hello from Scotland!

Hello everyone,

wow... this is the first time I've joined a fan forum, ever! Just goes to show how special Mr Bonamassa is. smile

I've been aware of JB for years but never seriously listened to any of his music until a few months ago, and I've been totally hooked ever since then. I've been spreading the word and I'm often thinking that I really don't get why he isn't a massive superstar. I mention him to music lovers and they go, Joe who? Never heard of him. Always upsets me a bit, but maybe it's not such a bad thing to have him to ourselves.

I was hoping to see Joe play in London in March but can't make it due to family commitments that week. However, we've now booked tickets to go and see him play in Stuttgart, Germany instead. So roll on March, I can't wait to see him live!

I've recently started to learn to play guitar, not really inspired by JB, because it's something that I had wanted to do for many years and never got round to it. But listening to Joe playing motivates me endlessly, it's just the most amazing instrument and of course he's exceptional at playing it.

Anyway, I'm rambling now. I look forward to getting to know you all.

Nicole, so nice to have you here.  You will enjoy it!  I'm like you, never do Forums and such but I was driven to find someplace I could gush about Joe!

Happy to hear you worked it out to see Joe in Deutschland.  Get ready for a spectacular "Bonabaptism"!

Re: Hello from Scotland!

Welcome Nicole from a fellow Scot! There's a few more of us here, where in Scotland are you from if you don't mind me asking? I live in Aberdeenshire. Glad you've been able to make alternative arrangements to see Joe in March, you'll love the gig!

Re: Hello from Scotland!

Hi Murray, good to hear from you! I'm in Fife, but I'm not actually Scottish - I'm German, have lived here for almost 10 years though.

Has Joe ever played up here? I was a bit disappointed that he's only playing London next year, but hey it's a good excuse to travel.

Yes, Joe has played Scotland quite regularly over the last few years. I first saw him in Edinburgh in 2009 then in 2010 in Glasgow. He played Edinburgh and Glasgow earlier this year although I went to his Newcastle gig. You never know, he might add some more UK gigs next year.

Re: Hello from Scotland!

I had no idea he played both Edinburgh and Glasgow, but then I'm a new Bonamassa convert! smile I also worked nights for many years so I never kept up to date with gigs for a long time, but thankfully that's changed now. Fingers crossed Joe will add some Scotland dates, I'll definitely be there if he does.

Hope you have a great Hogmanay!
