Topic: Hello JB Fans

Hello everyone. I'm a newbee to this forum but a JB fan since 2005. I live in Elmira NY but do a considerable amount of traveling at times. In 2008 I was in the UK in and heard about Joe from some colleagues. They put me on to Sloe Gin and Black Night and a few other classic JB songs. Being a weekend musician for over 30 years it only took about 10 seconds to become a fan of Joe's. The wife and I attended attended our first oncert last November in Ithaca NY and I can't even put into words how I felt after listening to Joe.

In December I purchased a Epiphone JB and play it whenever I'm home. Love the guitar and I'm currently looking to purchase the true Gibson made unit when the right deal comes along.

I'm currently working in Jiaxing China and I'm returned to the USA on November12th so the wife and I can attend the Rochester concert on the 16th. We recently purchased the Blues Deluxe lithograph and now have 2 meet and greet tickets to take to Rochester.

I do have a question. Is it OK to bring my guitar to the meet and greet to have it signed? I would appreciate any recommendations from you seasoned JB fans.

Can't wait to get back home and hope to meet some of you at the meet and greet on the 16th.

Mark Nichols

Welcome, and yes. Joe loves to see "his children" and give a personal touch and autograph to them.

Hello and welcome to the forum.  This is one of the best forums I have participated in.  Glad you got the meet and greet. I just could not swing the price this time.  Hope to hear your impressions after the show.

Re: Hello JB Fans

Hi Mark,

I'll be at the Rochester show too - looking forward to meeting you!

I have the same guitar and had Joe sign mine (along with the case) when I saw him in Westbury, NY.

Here is a photo album which contains pics of the signed EPI - enjoy smile

Re: Hello JB Fans

For those of you who have gone to a M&G and had you guitar signed before the show tell me will the venue hold your guitar during the show or is this not a good idea?

Not a good idea in my playbook........I think it's best that you look after it......Unless you know someone who works there-THAT YOU CAN TRUST!

Hi Mark, welcome to the place where you are free to gush as much as you want about Joe!

My limited understanding about the M&Gs is that they are usually held around 4:00 or 4:30.  So it seems like you would have plenty of time to go back to your hotel or your car and deposit the signed guitar, well in advance of when the show starts.

Nice having you here!
