Topic: Paradiso by the Plasma Light

Lucky Dutch! This is going to be a great show for the ages I am betting.  It would be fantastic to have it on DVD one fine day, wouldn't that be great?  Joe says the venue is very special, be nice to authorize the next DVD to be made there!  It would be more fabulous to actually attend whether that actually came to fruition or not.  I noticed it stands alone between US shows.... Is this sold out yet? How much are they if not?
*sigh* just a midsummers day dream!

Re: Paradiso by the Plasma Light

Yes, Rocket.  I definitely want a live dvd and live cd with the current lineup.  This is an absolute must.

Re: Paradiso by the Plasma Light

I´ll be there with my camera - but if that can replace a Live-DVD ... wink    Don´t think so... But I´m surely going to post some photos!
Don´t know if it´s sold out yet, but it cost me 25 Euro (without the flight to Amsterdam of course........)

Re: Paradiso by the Plasma Light

Hallo Rocket,

I totally agree with you. Paradiso would be a wonderful place for the next DVD. It is the most beautiful place I know for concerts, very good sound, always very good musicminded-people and a fantastic hall, old church with those beautiful leaded windows behind the stage. Walter Trout did his last DVD in Paradiso too.
And there are a lot of people from the forum coming too, so there is no reason not to do it.
Last DVD in Rockpalast was with Eric and Kenny, I was there!!, so I hope now it is Paradiso time for the next DVD and I have the tickets for months. I would be at 2 DVD's and that would be very, very special.
Yes we Dutch are lucky and Joe is lucky with us!!!!!
Hope he reads this and thinks about it!

Re: Paradiso by the Plasma Light

Andre, maybe you could let me know of a good hotel in the area of the gig. I'll be flying over with my wife to see the show and spend a couple of days in Amsterdam. Got my tickets on order smile

Re: Paradiso by the Plasma Light

I'm not sure if everyone read the Guitarist Magazine that was recently discussed or if this was already mentioned.  Joe says Paradiso is one of his favorite venues along with the Fillmore (San Fran). Paradiso sounds like a beautiful venue...I always find it extra special to hear great music in a church!  I hope someone gets a shot of those windows, I love leaded glass.

Andre- I recently got a catalog with a DVD for Caravan that I am going to order...made me think of you. smile  I'm not sure if you read my response in that other post about Caravan.  Send me an e-mail if you are interested in any info on it.

Re: Paradiso by the Plasma Light

Wilma bedankt! Angela Wilma helped you out with the leaded windows, very nice shots, she makes fantastic photo's, look at het website.
GSJ and Eva I don't know anything about hotels in Amsterdam, it's a 2 hour drive from where I live so I always return home after a show. Marijke gave you an advice better  then I could. Marijke ook bedankt!
GSJ ,we from the forum want to do something together before the show, dinner with Joe and band?, having some pictures etc. We'll have contact in time, end of september or so on this forum. Till now we have eleven I think: Holland, England and Germany are there so far maybe someone from another country as well?
I can get you a ticket as long if it is not sold out , 2000 go in. Just let me know.

Yes Angela I read your response about Caravan, you can give me some info at my email address. Thanks.

Hi Andre

Thanks for your reply. I think the idea of getting together before the show sounds fantastic. Maybe you can keep me informed of any plans. I'll be happy to let you have my email address if that would help.

Thanks

Geoff

Re: Paradiso by the Plasma Light

Angela the Guitarist Magazine article is precisely why I brought the topic up, and IF he were to be recording a DVD from either the Fillmore or Paradiso, I would be there.  The Paradiso requires a lot of proper planning as it's leaving the states...
