Holmfirth Concert

The support band was led by a guy called Joe Auton - I had the pleasure of meeting him outside the Hippodrome. Really decent bloke who played a good set.

What a fantastic night - third time I've seen Joe play (Manchester in October 06 and Shepherds Bush Empire in March 07) and it just gets better.

I was surprised to see Carmine walk on stage. In October I was expecting to see Eric Czar on bass (who is really talented) and Kenny on drums. Instead Bogey and Mark Epstien played both the Manchester and Shepherds Bush concerts.

Apparently the BBC recorded the Shepherds Bush concert and it has recorded really well. Not sure what plans there are to release the recording at this moment.

Checking the tour dates it looks like it will be 2008 before Joe returns to the UK.

Oh well - time to practice and listen to the new album which "without wanting to butter my own sandwich or toast" will no doubt be brilliant.
