It's nice to see our lovely little island becoming known as the home of someone (or something) other than Pamela Anderson and Nanaimo bars!
Amsterhammer i must ask--are you Dutch? If you're North American and living in the EU---can i ask if you prefer life across the pond? I often think of moving back over there---i'm torn. There were certain aspects of life in Europe i liked--others not so much. Just wondering about your take on things.
You'd be surprised at the number of Gogo fans on here! I actually know David and am looking forward to seeing him here next month.
No Jane, I'm an American, but I have spent the very vast majority of my adult life living in various major cities of Europe - Vienna, London, Berlin, Amsterdam. I've been here 23 years now and I wouldn't trade Amsterdam for anywhere else (the weather is another matter!).
I regularly visit the US as I have loved ones there, but I know in my heart that I would never be happy living in the US permanently, I'm too used to a different outlook than what is prevalent there. From what little I know about Vancouver Island (and Vancouver,) it sounds like a particularly appealing corner of North America .
