Topic: 1979: an autobiography through music

hey all,

I'd like you all to follow my new blog... it's an autobiography that tells stories based on the song that pulls the memory. It will go from 1979 to present day. I'm pretty new at blogging, but it was a way for my friends and family to read about themselves in my stories... Joe will turn up in 2004 thereabouts... smile

I've been writing it for about a year, and instead of getting it published, I'm posting it in a series of blogs.

Hope you all like it!

cool Nic. I want vids of your solo effort on the Party Fiddle. Never heard of such a thing out west here. Only a drunk northwoodsman could have devised such a beast.  lol My buddy Doug just told me it is a product of too much time and too much schnapps in the ice fishing house.  tongue Something about drumming up a fish bite....

Rick, it's one of those instruments that sort of sits near a juke box in an up north tavern. I've never really seen somebody play one well. I know we had one in our basement growing up, but I'm not sure if my parents still have it... I'd love to make a vid if I could get my hands on one. In a bar setting, some inspired drunk would pick it up and just start messing with it... not sure if I've ever seen a hum strum ace!

Re: 1979: an autobiography through music

Hi everybody!

I just surpased my 1,000th view! Mostly friends and family are reading it, but I know some of you are as well! I'm so happy!

I'm posting about 1983/1984 right about now. Can't wait until I can get to 2004 so I can start posting about Joe! Slowly but surely!

I'm still writing 2011 things... Dustbowl, FooFighters, and osama bin laden will be covered. Hoping to post 2011 things sometime in 2012. I need to get more into a habit of posting every week. I've been slacking!  cool
