Topic: My 1st tonite - OKC

Just came from my first live JB show at OKC Civic Center. All I can say is unbelievable.
Was blown away with Mountain Time. Midnight Blues, Dust Bowl, hell they were all awesome.
Hope to see him again when he comes back through Tulsa later this year.

Glad you enjoyed the show. Yes he rocked the symphony's house tonight. Great show for your first. I've seen a few and it was as good as it gets.

Re: My 1st tonite - OKC

Have you been to the Brady Theater, Fred? The 11/1 date is pretty good for me to fly in for if it doesnt have ugly acoustics.

Re: My 1st tonite - OKC

Saw Bonnie Raitt there some time back and it was good. Know several people been there more than me and they all say it's good....for what it's worth. That place does get a lot of acts.

Re: My 1st tonite - OKC

The first time I saw Joe was at the Brady in 2002. During a festival and it was being used as an indoor festival stage. I have seen several other shows there from BB King to Jeff Beck Steely Dan and Joe again last year. The room sounds good. Bathroom facilities are inadequate is my only gripe besides the lobby being small. It is a WPA era building that has been neglected. Not much to look at but it doesn't have any major sound issues.

RE: Brady theater- Saw Joe there last year, saw the Hendrix Experience earlier this year, got second row front and center tickets for this year big_smile It's a decent little place that has seen better days.

My name is Red. I like the Blues.
