Topic: Providence May 22nd....bucket list

Hey all and especially JOE....

I have just received some great news.  It appears as though I will be attending the meet and greet at this show.  I can tell you right now that I am totally on cloud nine.  Not only will the new CD be out that day...and I will be grabbing one of them...at least one...probably a a few more to give to "future" fans....but I will be able to meet the man himself.

I cannot thank all that made this happen for me.....it is amazing...

I mentioned "bucket list" in the title.  The reason for this is that maybe some of you (Joe, you as well) the Station Night Club Fire in RI back in 2003 where 100 people died at a Great White concert.  Well, I was fortunate enough to survive that fire that night physically unharmed.  And after trying to help the courageous firefighters try to save as many people as possible...and not succeeding all that well (I can tell all of you some serious stories about that night), I decided that I need to experience things I could only dream of because life is so short.

One of my items on my list was to learn how to play guitar...I wish I had listed play the guitar well...not just play it...LOL.  I have met and worked with one of my guitar heroes, Rik Emmett.  Spending time with him has really developed my love for the guitar.  Then one day, while searching on iTunes, I found Mr. Bonamassa.  His playing and music has taken my love for the guitar to a whole new level.  I wish my playing would be as strong as my love for the guitar...maybe some day.

Now, I have a chance to say thank you in person to Joe as well as check off another item from my bucket list.  This is truly a dream come true....Thanks to Joe and all that made this possible!!!

Yeah it's a nice Les sounds different and then my other LP's.

I can't help but keep thinking of what you must have gone through that terrible night back in 2003. It is reassuring to know that people like you and the courageous firefighters risked their lives to save others. God bless you all. Yes you are right live is to short you only come this way once so do what you have to do and do it now.
Cheers Ron

Re: Providence May 22nd....bucket list

Well the met and greet and the show was amazing.  Wanted to briefly tell Joe how much he has inspired me as someone who went through a major tragedy like that fire that night but the subject never came up due to Joe getting a glimpse of a picture on my phone of my store's sign that was crashed into that morning by a Denali that rolled over into it.

But that was ok...I enjoyed meeting Joe...and hope to again..

Cheers...

Barry

Hi Les Paul4 It was great meeting you sorry I was in such a rush. I was going crazy getting ready to meet Joe. I brought him a 1972 Fuzz Face for him and he tested it out in his dressing room through a old fender tweed. Of course in his hands it sounded amazing.
Cheers Ron
