First of three shows for me this week (I know, poor me). Had a great time, lucky enough to have a meet and greet from my street team activities. Shared a few pictures with Joe that I had taken in the past that he seemed to like, and of course forgot as usual to pass along greetings from a couple of friends. Nice dinner with a couple of old bonabuddies and a few new ones, then on to the show.
Great show, and Joe's monologues are just the best. He could work at stand-up comedy if he wanted to (is there anything this man can't do?), and his story about opening for Willie Nelson a few years ago at the PPAC was priceless. Apparently he was double-booked and was given the option of going on earlier than was advertised as the show start time, or canceling. Well, you know Joe's work ethic. We had seen him a couple of weeks earlier in Shirley, MA and I believe he mentioned something about this so we made it a point to be at the Willie show early - and were rewarded with an amazing all acoustic show. So yes, Joe, I was there, not just the ushers.
Thanks to all at J&R for their usual great job with handling the meet and greet and the photopass, and for making it possible for us to all enjoy the miracle that is a Joe show.

"There's a lot of people that are in so much of a hurry to be, I guess, to be famous or that they don't want to take the time to learn to play and do all that. They'd rather just knock it down off a computer and maybe get on a game show and get famous..That's fine if that's what you want to do.
