Topic: The Tale of Albert Cummings and the HORSE!

OK. Michael, you are NOT going to believe what happened!! All I can say is I'm glad Bob (Tarus52) was there to back up my story! Chick's Surf Club is in a suburb of D.C. Not a place you relate to black cowboys and horses. When I got there I noticed a large group of 10gallon hats, boots and cleats outside the club. Inside Albert was getting it done! Nice venue, roomy, good sound. Nice dance floor, tables..There was a group of us including friends from the BBS, Bob, Judy and friends from the Sonny Landreth crew. Seems Bob and Albert have some history involving Tequila..but, anyway. At the 1st break I'm outside with the band and we hear "Albert's going to get on the horse..What? What horse?..Well, parked alongside the club was a trailer and lo and behold there's 2 horse butts. They tried to convince the 1st horse to enter the side door but she had other ideas. So they tethered her and got the other horse (who also needed MUCH coaxing) onto the dance floor!! And yes my friends Albert mounted that stead right there and then. Well, what do you think the horse did? Yep, took a dump!!! It was too funny! Bob's going to post a pix so you'll know it was NOT any kind of drug induced hullucination! How do you top that!! I guess I should have put this under "Wacky concert..." Anyway, the rerun of today's Tour de France is over and I need sleep! (Oh, I got personalized autographs for ML and Shred...'cause I luv ya)......Cathy

Well this is a true story i have the headache to prove it. Cathy, the guy who was suppose to email the photo hasn't done it yet. But to all on this forum Albert was on a horse inside the bar and if i go to Rams Head tonite with Judy, Tequila will not be drunk tonite!!! This whole thing started last time i saw Albert i bought him a few shots and ask him to play Last Dance from his new cd, he stopped playing untill i got up on the dance floor and danced and had a few shots.Well i was already felling pretty good so everybody in the bar so buying me shots so Albert would keep on playing.Well last nite was no different except for the horse and today my head feels like someone took a hammer to it

Re: The Tale of Albert Cummings and the HORSE!

Michael, I have a block when it comes to song titles. It's really a handicap at jukeboxes! Now, since you've not seen him live, understand that Albert's attitude is always that he's like the "house band". He doesn't disappear during breaks. Instead he comes into the audience and talks to everyone! So, he is open to requests and willing to jam away. As the evening progressed and the shots were delivered, Albert got a bit buzzed and thus a bit loose, but still it's obvious why Double Trouble wanted to record with him! Bob (tarus) will have to give you names. Tonight's show is in a MUCH more sedate venue. Very small (saw Joe there last Halloween). You have to stay in your chair. That will be tough! I danced most of the night. Couldn't sit!!! So, it was more of a night out with friends at a great venue, with a remarkable guitar player, horesh$t and all. By the way, He's ready to come to England he just needs to be booked so get busy bugging your venues and you can see for yourself!!! Or, you'll have to come stateside!!       Cathy   I e-mailed Albert Castiglia and told him this story. He is at Chick's later this summer. He said "bring it on"..he's ready to ride! Too funny!
