It's very exciting how much young talent resides in this community. The numbers are growing quickly. It would be nice to have a place where you can post your videos, connect with others your age, and not have it disappear onto page 3 in a few days. So I hope this becomes your "hangout". Cathy
Why restrict the age limit to 21 ? Why mention age at all ! I would invite all young players to "hangout" Let the young decide for themselves ! Just my thoughts Cathy. Hi btw!
edit: It just happens to be our guy's birthday - i would still include Joe as a 'young' player. So Joe, feel free to post in this here thread - any time!

Anything to foster and encourage new talent is a must especially with this type of music. We already havew some really talented young players who post vids regularly.

First of all, Joe will feel free to post anywhere he likes on his own forum without needing your invitation.
Secondly, this is Cathy's brainchild and she decided to call it 'under 21'. Obviously, this doesn't mean that a new young player who may happen to be 22 shouldn't post here, but I'm sure that our young players (and any new ones to come) will get the intention.
This topic should be a place where all the youngsters who play (most of whom like Stefan, Jonny and Russ already have existing topics of their own) can post their own new stuff and maybe receive tips or advice from others. If I was able to, I would have started a whole 'young players' sub-forum. Since I couldn't, this is the next best thing. I'm going to stick this to start with, and hope that the idea takes off.

Great idea Cathy, there are some stunning young bands that desperately need support and exposure. I'll leave my obvious choice out as they are already covered here anyway. Some of the young guns make V feel old at 20!
Two thumbs up Cathy! Maybe some of the talent can be invited to post if discovered by the members here. It is heartening to see our beloved genre being taken up by talented young players.

Massive +1 for that. Encouragement with a bit of critical help can only lead to better things. Isn't that what education is all about.
wow, just saw this and what a great idea Cathy to keep it on the front burner. I don't think anybody here cares if over 21, it's not like there's going to be a drivers license check from the BonaPolice.
Thanks guys. The age is, indeed, not written in stone. In the States, that is the age limit for admission into many clubs. Joe got a hand up from players like B.B. King and Danny Gatton, and I know he cares about legacy. I'm sure the players here will help these young'ins the same way. By being here, I hope people will be cued to take their age into consideration when commenting. Mostly I want them to feel comfortable and cared for because that's what mother hens do! lol Cathy
