Re: How about a little Aaron Williams & the Hoodoo to get you going today?

Caught some of the Hoodoo's action this past weekend and thought I'd share just a couple of songs here. The first song is the title track off of Aaron Williams and the Hoodoo's album, "10:49". The time of 10:49 is significant because, it is the time that Aaron's Dad, "Cadillac Joe" Andersen, passed away a couple of years ago from a rare form of cancer. The Boys then flow into another song off the album called, "Devil's Playground".

Yes I know, I need to talk to Aaron about turning down his "Tin Man" a little bit. wink A wonderful friend and great Wisconsin guitar luthier by the name of Bruce Lee Rose, made "Tin Man" for Aaron using an old turpentine can that Aaron provided, it is a 4-string Cigar Box style guitar. Bruce also made another wood Cigar Box for Aaron which is a 6-string and is strikingly beautiful and has unbelievable sound! A couple of weeks ago, the Guys did a cover of the Doors' "Roadhouse Blues" and my goodness, it was out of this world! I will someday post that up too. Enjoy...

Hmmm...How about a little "Roadhouse Blues" for your listening pleasure tonight? Hey, someone open "The Doors" and let some air in this place, OK? wink

By the way, on this song Aaron is using his original "Daddy Mojo" Cigar Box guitar.

Re: How about a little Aaron Williams & the Hoodoo to get you going today?

Very happy to announce that Aaron Williams and the Hoodoo took home the, "Blues Artist of the Year", trophy yesterday at the WAMI awards. These three young men work so hard that it's wonderful to see success come their way. Trust me, knowing them as I do, they will always remain three of the nicest, most humble and gracious gentlemen I have ever met. I am so very proud of them! smile Picture of Aaron holding the trophy...

Re: How about a little Aaron Williams & the Hoodoo to get you going today?

Here's something to see...Aaron and the Boys were opening for a band knows as the People Brothers Band and it was their CD release party. So the Guys decided to have a little party of their own and blew the crowd away! wink I recorded their complete set in HD with the exception of a new song called, "Into The Fire". Aaron has asked me not to post up news songs that haven't been recorded yet, but trust me, that one really smoked too! cool Here is their entire set in two parts...

Part 1 contains the songs: "Dues For Them Blues", "Me And My Guitar", "Stoop Down Baby" (with a shout out at 09:38) and "Boom Boom". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7wD3gTqG4w

Part 2 contains the songs: "Red Head Women", "Devil's Playground", "It Ain't Easy" and "Third Stone From The Sun". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9PSsfw-yPc

Enjoy and Be Well! smile
