Topic: awesome!

The Liverpool show was the dogs do-dahs! For those unfamiliar with the term, it's the more polite version and it means mega-awesome. Joe was phenomenal, as were the rest of the band - my expectations were high - Joe surpassed them by a mile. I'm sure others can give a more detailed and technically more adept report, I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the show. Awesome.

Regards from a very, very happy Sue.

Re: awesome!

What surprised me so much about the concert was Joes's guitar tone. The tone of each and every guitar he played could be heard resonating around the arena. Every touch, every nuance was clear.
The highlight of the show was driving toward the daylight. Its rare that i feel such a connection to a song i have only just heard I think the last time was when i was listening to rory gallgher's irish tour album. The tele sounded fantastic. I really can't wait for the new album
I took my wife to the show and her only exposure before last night was my endless guitar practicing of journey of a quarryman (still haven't got the solo down how i would like to) and she walked away last night with a huge smile on her face.

Re: awesome!

Inspiring to watch such a skilled guitarist.  The acoustic section was outstanding.  The band was very "together", and that drummer is great!

Re: awesome!

Last night at Liverpool was awesome, had better seats than the Sheffield gig, sound was so excellent, i spoke to the sound man prior to the start of the gig, and said how well the reviews were of Joes current gigs, and that the sound was the best ever. This was his first tour with Joe, so maybe we will see him again in future concerts.

Anyway i took my new camera out with me and recorded the track "Song of Yesterday" and uploaded it to Youtube.
I recorded in IA mode and let the camera sort itself out as i have no idea yet on settings in low light........Enjoy !!!

Re: awesome!

Another fantastic show last night as expected.  I'll leave a full review to a better "wordsmith" than me  !   Always difficult to pick out highlights from a  Joe show but have to agree about Driving towards the daylight, love that song already - listened to it on youtube but really came to life for me last night.  On a side note was lucky enough to see the guys outside their hotel before they went to the soundcheck.  Had a quit chat with Rick & then  Carmine & Tal came over for a photo - really nice guys - made my wife's day !!   Roll on Blackpool.

Re: awesome!

Thank you for posting these great reviews - I really enjoy reading about these gigs. It sounds like Joe and the boys are in fine form.

Thanks for all the reviews, pics and vids. There are so many folks having their first live Joe show this time around. I always get a big kick from those reviews!   Cathy
