Topic: Music history

I had no idea where to place this link, so instead of just restricting the title to this story, I thought I'd make a general title that might be a repository for similar interesting stuff that people know about, or come across on the webz.

This story is about "How the world's first rock concert ended in chaos". I found it to be a fascinating read and recommend it to the forum. wink

Fascinating. A whole world and time away but look what it has led to. Thanks for spotting it.

Re: Music history

I had heard some of this before as I lived in the Cleveland area for a few years in the early 1990's.  Freed's ash's are supposedly in the RRHOF.  Don't know if that's true or just urban legend.

Re: Music history

So, now you know why....CLEVELAND ROCKS!!! Alan Freed coined the term that we now endear and this is why Cleveland edged out San Francisco for the sight of the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. If the Blacks & Whites were upset about songs like Big Ten Inch I wonder what they'd have thought of this tune?

What part of Cleveland did you live in RF?
