Topic: Roland Tchakounté - Blues goes Africa
Opener of the Grolsch Blues Festival Schöppingen in 2011: Roland Tchakounté
The festival wouldn't have been the same without such a great opener.
Blues with African influences.

Couldn't wait to see the band again and last Sunday there was a mark in my schedule: 7:30 pm Roland Tchakounté at Blues Rhede.
Arrived at 6:30 and was so lucky to get in for soundcheck. YEAH.
Roland Tchakounté hasn't lost his amazing voice. YEAH.
Mathias Bernheim brought his drum set and some percussion stuff to Blues Rhede. YEAH.
And on top Mick Ravassat & his gibson & a bottleneck. YEAH.
And just before the concert some blues friends arrived. YEAH. That's what makes a great evening.
What shall I say: Outstanding performance of Roland Tchakounté & Band. YEAH. YEAH. YEAH.
Chilling, rocking, spellbinding!

If you have the chance to see Roland Tchakounté & Band live, go and get them.
They will tour the Netherlands in April ... but most of the gigs are during the week and toooooo far away.
That's for sure, a band that's on my giglist when they are around.
And I cross my fingers for Roland Tchakounté & Band that they will win the European Blues Challenge.
