Topic: Geneva Concert

I was lucky enough to see the show in Geneva on March 5th. Joe played to what appeared to be a sold-out crowd in Geneva's Theatre du Leman. (1300 seats) He was awesome, to say the least. And, I felt like the crowd truly appreciated not only Joe's talent, but that of his incredible band members.

I've seen Joe perform previously in Savannah and I honestly believe his Geneva show was a much better performance. Savannah was just fantastic. But, Geneva.....well, it went way way past the mark of excellent.

Re: Geneva Concert

Thanks for posting ... and welcome.  Isn't it amazing how Joe always seems to surpass himself with each concert?  Just when you think it can't get any better he blows you away again.

Do you have or recall the setlist?  I'm interested to see whether there are any changes yet.

I'm sorry. I was so damn excited I never thought to write it down. He played for 2 hours 20 minutes and only took one short break to apologize to the audience for not playing in Geneva previously. And, then he talked about a really expensive watch he tried on (but didn't purchase).

He did do: Sloe Gin, Dust Bowl, John Henry and several other of his more famous tracks. He also did a 10 minute version of Woke-up Dreaming. (Unfortunately, he did not do "Stop", which is my personal favorite). He did one encore and finished the encore with: Just Got Paid.

He said exactly the same thing last year in Zurich. wink

Anyway, a fantastic gig (again) and Joe just never disappoints.
